Can I change the program in the gears on my 450
i have a pool vac which stays at the deep end and doesn't climb to the shallow end Will the aquanaut 450 do any better?
You are supposed to count the rotations of the right wheel to determine the rpm, but how can you do this when it changes direction?

Does the hayward Aquanaught climb the pools walls and in water steps
It depends on the type of pool surface which requires different tyres (comes standard with blue rubber tyres). I have a smooth painted pool surface and even having the incorrect tyres (i should be using the white rubber) it still climbs 3 quarters of the way to the water line.
With regards to steps it manages the first step as its quite wide but not the smaller 2nd and 3rd step.
PS i have the Aquanaut 250 not the 450. Dont buy the bigger one if your pool is small otherwise it wont manouver properly
