appears Godfreys no longer have the battery in stock as the model has been discontinued. Have been able to find it on ebay though. here is the link to the exact model external link . on 5/8/21 price was AU$55.69

No. I returned the battery which was a generic one. Hope to purchase a Hoover brand battery off eBay and see if that helps.

The names mean nothing, they are all the same underneath. Later ones came with two spinning side brushes, no other differences. You can check the front wheel (the swivel one) spins easily , clean it if it doesn't. But the these are not meant for carpet. If you have a high pile carpet (i.e., thick) the front bump detector will drag on the pile and activate the 'bumped into something mode' and the unit will keep reversing until the bump detector is deactivated , or the electronics time out and the unit will shut down because it thinks it has got caught up in something. That is totally normal and not a fault, it is doing what it is designed to do . The bumps into things and shut off- normally a means the battery is not fully clipped in or getting weak. These are a bump and go robot- they do bash their way around and do not remember a room or furniture placement, getting trapped sometimes is part of their useless programming. Did you waste your money - yes. Is it broken - no. The manual is a useless, just a parts catalogue, and you cant get parts (Hoover does not exist - it is just a Chinese junk name now days) anymore. The remote doesn't add any real functionality and is more a sales gimmick/demo thing. The infra red 'step minder' is useful though.

If you mean the main drive wheels, they are slightly sprung but the springs are weak . On a flat surface the unit should have a slightly nose high attitude.

I had the same problem. Godfreys couldn't fix it so I dont think anyone can You can try pulling it to bits and cleaning all of the contacts and moving parts. Good luck!

I have the same problem with my Robby, this is the second one as I demanded a replacement when the first one kept doing this. It seems to be the norm, stuck going backwards, will not correct itself, tries to climb the wall then shuts down, very frustrating! Will not buy this brand again.

There are three things that makes these go backwards all the time. Infra red light - from the stair minder or just sunlight through a curtain, Stuck front bumper - make sure the front bumper moves easily and has not dirt or lint stuck in between the bumper and the body of the vac- or the unit can have a motor control chip burnt out - in which case ditch the piece of junk

Hi Laura. Theres not much in the manual except perhaps programming the timer etc. The rest is fairly straight forward common sense. However, i can send you a photo copy of the manual once I get home in May if thats not too late. I suspect by then you may have worked it all out anyway
