Hyundai i30 PD Hatchback (2017-2026) Questions & Answers
VerifiedAlso referred to as: Hyundai i30 PD Hatchback 2025 and Hyundai i30 PD Hatchback 2027.I have a 2020 built NLine with the DCT transmission. I previously had a Golf GTi with DSG gearbox. When I drove a demo NLine the gearbox was well behaved. Have now had the NLine for nearly 4 years and 31K kms I have found the DCT very frustrating to drive particularly from rest. Whilst it does not happens everytime it will jerk/shudder when accelerating from rest. I have tried to isolate when it does this and when it doesn't and it appears to be associated with the engine revs being low when it is at normal operating temperature I.e. it does not do this when cold and revs are slightly higher. Is this normal?
Has anyone done an ECU/Air intake/Throttle response unit upgrade and if so what products? Thanks
Interesting question. Why you ask? My brand new 2022 N line premium auto has a cold start issue where it sounds like it’s running on 3 cylinders for 30 secs during the choke period, and there is significant throttle response lag. I installed a little throttle controller in my other car an MG3 with a 1.5 naturally aspirated motor (that couldn’t pull the skin of a rice pudding) it had insanely poor performance. Makes a huge diff now. Throttle is on tap. And adjustable. Thinking of doing the same to the N line once they sort out the cold start / fuel ECU issue.
Hi verheijen, did you ever resolve this issue with the cold start up problem? I purchased the exact same model and I’m experiencing the exact same issue’s as you have mentioned. Looking forward to your response, thank you kindly.
Why steering power very heavy on new facelift i30 hatch active?
Check your tyre pressure because low tyre pressure can cause heavy steering
Hi, does anyone know where in the navigation settings I can turn off the “you are exceeding the speed limit” voice. Very loud and distracting and happens when we go from 99 to 100. Many thanks :)
I never found a specific way to do that either - I've turned down the volume entirely on traffic alerts, so I don't hear it at all - I don't need a voice telling me about school zones, cameras, zebra crossings, ice-cream trucks etc etc. It's just annoying. Have a play in the settings, I can't remember where exactly...
