Is the black surface meant to come off

Yes, it is pre packed with a coating to stop rust. You have to burn it off first from memory. Terrible bbq used mine twice and gave away.

I just bought a jumbuck 2 burner gas bbq,flat top,am trying too buy a cover for it. Tried at bunnings but they havent got any,been thier several times. Not sure if its good or bad,after reading the reviews,im not happy with what they are saying about it.Does anyone know where I can get one too fit this bbq.
