Hi. I just bought another Desea. This will be my 3rd! Arrived today, tried 2 cups & its already not working. When making a latte or using milk. About 20 seconds in it stops, beeps and the orange exclamation mark light comes on. I pull it out and start over and it does it again!! Also as its spinning, its thudding!! Plus its not getting hot enough doing this, pulling it out and starting over!!! Even though Ive got the extra temp button on. Do the newer machines not get as hot or something ? Also Its the weekend so I can't ask Lavazza. Any advice helpful. Thank you.
Hi, I have a desea modo mio machine I've been trying to descale it by pressing the espresso and long espresso buttons but it doesn't work. What will I do to descale it?
Hi, I bought a Lavazza Desea Modo Mio coffee machine in November 2022 & it worked perfectly up to three months ago when I noticed that the descaling process was taking longer than usual. I descale as soon as the descale warning light comes on, which, in my case is around every four weeks. I always use Durgol Special Descaler & afterwards I use a Caffenu cleaning capsul to clean the brewing chamber & spout. In February last, I started descaling at approx. 3pm & turned the machine off at 8pm & turned it back on at 9am the following day. The descaling light eventually went off at 11.30am. I emailed the lavazza 'Help Desk' explaining, received an acknowledgement & was told I would be contacted but have not heard back (19/03/24). My descaling light came on yesterday morning & I have spent most of yesterday & today (it is now 4pm) running water through it but without success. I buy my Lavazza capsules in bulk & have recently taken delivery of a couple of months supply so binning the machine would be a painful option. Any helpful advise would be appreciated. Michael Martin.
Hi Michael, I would ring Lavazza directly even though the machine may be out of warranty 1300307171
Thanks SteveB - as mentioned in my original, I have emailed Lavazza outlining the problem and while acknowledging my email, they have failed to follow up. I live in Dublin, Ireland & they have no actual presence here, just agents, so clearly they are not bothered. Regardless I do appreciate your reply & suggestion. MM.
Contacted Lavazza (UK) today (Monday 25/03/24) & spoke with Matteo who, using my phone camera, resolved my descaling light problem very quickly & my machine is working perfectly again. A knowledgeable & patient individual, thank you Matteo. Michael M.
So, what did Matteo do to fix the problem?
Brand new Lavazza A Modo Mio (less than a month old) and the descaler light won't shut off. Descaled the machine anyway, the light still won't shut off. Any suggestions?
Hi Dana, I would contact Lavazza directly.
Hi Dana, it sounds like the descaling process hasn't finished yet, depending on the module of your Desea machine, it may require a few rinsing cycles before finalising the descaling process. If you'd like further assistance, please contact us on 1300 307 171 and press line 1 to speak to one of our customer service representatives who will be happy to assist you.
Thank you all. It's much appreciated
The Capsule Full lLght won't go out on my Desea coffee Machine. I have if course emptied it and it was only half full, but it still won't go out. I have tried turning on and off at the wall etc but to no avail. Had it less than a month!
I have exactly the same issue only my machine is 4 months outside the warranty, phoned Lavazza and went through a few processes but no fix, seems it’s not fixable and not really happy as now I’m £200.00 down with no working machine!
I have a Lavazza Desea machine, actually I have 2 now because my 18 month old machine started leaking water (which all of my Lavazza machines have done, but usually after a few years of use). Lavazza told me to descale it, when that didn’t work they told me sorry, it’s out of warranty, nothing we can do. The machines were on special so I bought a new one. This one is not frothing the milk. It is getting hot enough, but the milk doesn’t seem to be getting aerated. I’ve been trying it for a few days now and I needed a yummy coffee so I’ve plugged my not-so-old machine back in. Any tips please? I love Lavazza coffee, but I’m nearly done with the machines.
Hello. Lavazza has 2 wear warranty so they should Fix it for free. I had before the Lavazza fantasia and I changed to desea the fantasia it was much better for frothing.the desea it's very weak
I loved the Fantasia. I had my first Desea making good coffee too. The trick is to make sure the milk stays under the top line on the jug.
I have a Desea, the problem is that with a coffee pod, the cup only half fills. If I just run water through, the cup fills properly. I’m using genuine Lavazza (eco) pods and have tried three different boxes. The de scaler light is not showing. Thank you.
I have this problem as well, hoping someone can answer you! Or did you find the solution?
I did find the solution, I contacted Lavazza direct. Press and hold the “long fill” button, the cup icon at the bottom of the four on the LHS. When the desired amount is in the cup, release. That should “set” the amount the cup is filled so next time, just press and release as normal. Obviously, it will only fill up to its own max. limit but it worked! Good luck.
I HAVE a new Lavazza a modo mio desea machine I have descaled it several times but the descaling light wont go out I have tried to follow instructions but the two ways suggested for this model doesn't work. Apart from the light staying on I can make coffee with it
I boight a lavvaza Desea brand new one, once i tried to turn it on, it directly asks to fill water tank while it was full also it asked to descaling, do you guys have any idea about it ? Please
Where can I purchased the waste container please as I seem to have misplaced it.
I have a Desea A modo mio coffee machine. The "no water" illuminator is on but container is full. I press one of the buttons and it works for some seconds but then the "no Water" sign goes on and machine stops. Now I tried to press the descaling buttons and it seems that everthing is stuck as light is on all the time. Can you please help me to solve my issue. Thanks
My machine is a couple of years old and have descaled regularly - it is now leaking water from underneath the machine - water container not cracked or damaged but I suppose seal could be an issue? Any other help appreciated?
I think you should contact Lavazza they're very helpful
Hi there - I've had my machine for about a year & a half & always find the descaling process really painful, mainly because the instructions in the manual are not correct (it says press the expresso & long expresso button to start the process, but after googling it seems it's actually the long expresso & free pour buttons).
Anyway, after lot's of messing around today, the machine now seems to be stuck - the power light, the long coffee & the descale light are on & none of the other buttons are responsive. I've tried leaving for an hour, powering on & off etc.
Any idea how this can be fixed?
Thanks.
my desea machine has a permanent exclamation light on it despite there being water in the tank. makes noises but no water comes through. Any suggestions? its no longer in warranty
I will suggest take it out of Power and leave it for one hour. After that try to descale
When can we expect to see replacement desea glass mugs? I've now been without one for six months.
Hi Paul, We are still waiting for the Desea Mugs to become available on our website - we do not have an exact ETA at this stage. Please contact our Service Centre at au.customerservice@lavazza.com so we can arrange a complimentary one for you.

Wow, thank you so much. Outstanding customer service to correct a problem not of your making. Thank you.
Hi, my Lavazza Desea machine has no power lights to it. I have tried different power points with no luck. Is there a reset option, machine is 10 months old.
Does anyone know where I can get extra desea glass mugs from in Australia… every site I go to never has any in stock and it’s getting annoying
Try Lavazza Australia
Been out of stock for ages
Hi Steve,
We are expecting a shipment of Desea Mugs from Italy at the end of the year, they will be visible on our website at external link as soon as stock becomes available.

I’m curious as to what you mean by desea mugs. So you mean the jug needed for the milk frother? I broke mine almost a year ago and haven’t been able to find one to replace it!
It’s the glass mug that comes with the new machines,,, it has markings on it to show you how much milk to put in and it has a black plastic lid which froths the milk in the machine too
Yeah that’s the one im after as well!
Hi Steve & Reegan, I can confirm that the Desea Mugs are now currently available and visible on our website at external link

Still saying that they are out of stock…. Appliance on line have told me that you are deleting the item and refunded my money.. what’s the good of buying a machine that comes with 1 cup and you can’t buy anymore….would never of brought it if I knew it’s going to be so much hassle to get extra cups…
My mug just cracked and yes it is still out of stock in sydney. Also, have the issue of capsules full light on when there is only 1 pod in there on and off till now when it's new 2 years ago. Contacted lavazza by phone and email no response 2 years ago.
My Desea machine has stopped letting me know when the used pod container is full resulting in them causing a blockage. I realise I can keep my own check on this but has anyone else had this issue?
