I have a LgArtcool mirror aircon when I turn it on it seems to work for about 10 mins the on the mirror is displayed CH and then changes to 61 and keeps going in that sequence . What is the fault
We have moved into a property in WA and it is HOT and I'm a kiwi so can not handle the heat.
Our aircon in living room is LG Art Cool Inverter, and it is displaying the CH05 error code, our landlord is ok for us to get fixed but has limited budget to us as she can not afford. I am in desperate need to have this fixed.

We have the large artcool lg. It wouldn’t have had more than about 25 hour of total use. The c5 error code was coming up but now is just tripping the RCD how do we get a list of what the error codes mean? I heard from technicians that they scarp more LGs than any other brand. We are not in s financial position to replace it with a better unit very disappointed

try opening the fan box cover to the electrical powerboard and try and find the reset button, or clean filter, or turn off power for an hour this may reset your unit, if not call a technician
Where can I get a replacement mirror cover?
I might sell my indoor unit for spares once I have the new aircon installed. Let me know what model you have, is it the same? and if you are interested.

Try to see if it has a auto on switch as mine had this issue and they did not know what to do. So We discovered that on the right hand side panel around the corner from the artcool logo is this small switch that is in the plastic. Press it and hold it on for a few seconds and if it is like ours it will start. Then to turn off do the same. You have no option on temperature as far as I know. It makes it work.

Clean all of the filters and see if it that stops it. If that fails you may need gas. Call a tech.

I have a art cool aircon in home in 7 yrs, but is is used in 1 or 2 times a year. Last week when I turn on the unit, there is a error code "C5" display on the indoor unit after power on the machine in 2-3 minutes. And the outdoor unit fan is stop at all. I have checked the control terminal 3 both indoor and out door unit. The connector are very good nan the cable is good, too. The terminal voltage is -1.5 v to 0 v interval and change constantly. How can I repair it ? Please reply and thanks in advance.

If this is an invert-er unit your capacitor on your outdoor PCB is faulty and the complete PCB need to be replaced. You will notice that your compressor is also not running. The capacitor gives your compressor and outdoor fan motor a extra boost of power to get going. The same effect as a starter for a car engine.
Can you tell me which capacitor on outdoor pub was faulty? All the capacitor has been checked and ok. But one 6uf Ac capacitor near compressor is faulty, it has been replaced and outdoor fan is still not turning at all.
How much does it cost of pcb, out door unit?

Go and buy a 6uf (6 microfarad) run capacitor from Actrol Parts. Cost around $15.00. Then change over the existing run capacitor. follow the brown wires that goes from the circuit board to the area where the compressor is. Pull it up swap over and you are good to go again, Worked on both my units that had this fault.
I have 3 art cool units. One won't turn on.
Are there any basic things that I can do to turn it on? It won't even power up. Just moved into this house. Other two are fine.
Im sure you have tried the outside power unit but maybe go outside and leave it off for 10 seconds then turn it on. I don't know what else to suggest other than find out how old they are and contact LG. They are good at sending repair agent in warranty but I had to take the shop I bought them from to court to come to an agreement when warranty ran out due to 'Fair Use' of an appliance. Most air conditioners have 5 year warranty or maybe mine was extended warranty, can't remember. In my option they are duds. We bought them because they looked nice. I have moved house since I have had these units and now have a daikin R/C unit. If you can afford it, install a ducted. My power bills are lower and my whole house is a wonderful temperature all year round. Good luck

Is it too hot for this unit to be working I think it is expected to be 39 today in Melbourne. I am not very happy!!
You can download or look at the aircon manual from the LG website if you don't have got a copy. Phone the help line 1300 542 273 if this is not possible . I no longer live at the address where these LG units were installed. When the LG repair rep attended my last repair, he told me if the temperature outside is 40 degrees then you cannot have the air conditioner inside on 20 degrees as makes the unit work too hard. Try putting the unit on a higher setting to start off with, say 28 then work your way down after ten minute intervals. I dont know if this would work but worth a try. I think the helpline would be you best bet.

We have a split system LG air Conditioner S12ANH-U44 it was coming up with error code C5 and we were advised to change the board in the outside unit which has been done but the error code C5 is still coming up. Can anyone help?
I had four A/Cs, two large and two small in the artcool range. I had constant trouble with the two large units no problems with the smaller ones (although they were hardly used). If it is out of warranty I would recommend replacing it with a better Brand. If its only a small amount of time of of warranty you can approach the store that it was bought from and ask them for help. If your going to get it repaired phone LG for the LG registered repair companies as they should register the repair with LG for future reference
Our LG C18AWR 5kw split system has been intermittently coming up with C5 error for a couple of years now. When it first started happening we had a LG preferred service agent come out and take a look. He also said that the main board needed to be replaced and he was unable to confirm until it was changed whether or not it would fix the problem. He told us in most cases like this it is cheaper to replace them rather than repair them. The C5 error code comes up all the time now so we are replacing two LG units with the new Samsung 5kw Wifi models. $1299 at Harvey Norman with a 15% cash back from Samsung, great value.
