Hi! I used the dark tan last night, I’m new to this and my hands always end up darker even when using a brush, I want to even out the tan by simply tanning the rest of my body more and leaving my hands out. Are the results guaranteed even when applying 24hrs after the initial application? Love your products :)
Hi Michelle, Thanks for your query. It is possible to achieve a deeper tan by applying a second layer. You are more than welcome to apply a second layer of the mousse 24 hours after your initial layer, however, we do recommend always applying the tan to hydrated, exfoliated, clean skin.
I've added below our team’s top 5 tips for Hands and Feet:
Step 1. Exfoliate. Using our Tan Removing & Skin Polishing Glove, thoroughly exfoliate all dry areas including hands, wrists, elbows, feet, ankles and knees. Best results are achieved at the end of your shower once your skin is hydrated.
Step 2. Moisturise. Always apply moisturiser to these dry areas immediately before applying your tan. Moisturiser acts as a barrier on the skin, preventing the tan from overdeveloping in these dryer areas.
Step 3. Use a makeup brush. When you are ready to apply the tan, we recommend using a synthetic-haired fluffy makeup brush blend lightly on top of the moisturiser
Step 4. Apply. Add a very small pump of tan to the brush and blend in using circular motions. Remember to use sparingly on dry areas.
Step 5. Wipe. After about half an hour, gently wipe down your hands and feet with a face wipe. This prevents the tan from developing too dark, leaving you with a natural flawless result on your hands and feet.

Can I put moisturizer/sunscreen on after applying the fake tan? Or do i have to wait untill I rinsed it off?
Thank you for reaching out, Esmay! Once your tan has fully developed (after 24 hours), we recommend applying a sunscreen to your face and body prior to going out into the sun to prevent skin damage.

How long does an application last for ??
Hi Judith, Thank you for getting in contact with us! All mousses are waterproof once developed and last 7-10 days on the skin. Each bottle contains approximately 5+ applications, depending on how generously you apply each layer.
If you have pale skin and are not an experienced tanner, we always recommend starting with the Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in the medium shade. Once you are more confident with our products, we suggest progressing to the dark shade.

I’m pretty fair skinned and my product just came today I was super excited to try it and have it on now but I am a bigger girl I’m tall and chubby what I’m realizing is certain spots on my body have just completely faded and my face right now is very splotchy I’ve only had it on for I’d say an hour or so. I’m just worried should I wash it off now before it messes up my skin further with spoltchiness or just leave it for the full 6 hours?
Hi Kirsten, Thanks for reaching out! We have attached some helpful tips below to assist you - When applying the mousse, be sure to pump a generous amount onto the mitt each time you apply to your body and work in sections. Don’t be afraid to apply a thick coat as this is the bronzer you are applying so you can see easily see where you are spreading the clear, active ingredients. If you don't apply enough mousse to the mitt, it will be harder to blend.
You don't need to stress if the application of the instant bronzer is not 100% perfect. As long as you have covered all of your skin (which you can see by the bronzer colour), you will be left with an even tan once you have rinsed off. A handy tip is to also moisturise your hands, feet, elbows & knees before you start tanning and then ensure that you only have very light coverage on these areas as they can look darker once developed.

Once your tan has had time to develop and have showered, the instant bronzer/guide colour will rinse off. Whilst, it will look like it has all washed off, the clear active ingredients will continue to develop for the next 7-12 hours.

I bought this not knowing it was 6 hour and i have somewhere to be in about 4 hours . If i take it off sooner would I be tanned or is it more beneficial to just wash it off now?
Hi Madison, Thanks for your question and apologies for our delay in response. Your tan will develop more or less depending on how long you leave it before rinsing. The longer you leave it the deeper your tan will be and the sooner you rinse, the lighter your tan will be.

I have an event on Saturday and don’t know when I should apply the mousse. Should I do it Friday night and sleep on it and then shower in the morning?

It is up to you, but I would recommend applying a couple of days in advance so you have time to adjust if needed. x

When the tan fades, do you just get pale or does it become blotchy? If it does fade after how long
I have had this tan tan in medium on for 5 days so far and it is slowly fading with no blotches
My tan did not get blotchy anywhere, but I believe the reason for that is using moisturizers daily.
My tan lasted nearly 10 days. I shower daily, but use moisturizer religiously
not blotchy at all for me, but i lather myself in Sorbolene cream every night after a shower/before bed
If I were to go tubing down a river for about 4 hours will this tan product run off from the prolonged time in the water and me rubbing on the tube or is it pretty durable?
It stays on as good as any other fake tan in water, but with any and all fake tans, swimming or spending extended amounts of time in water makes its fade quicker.
If one were to use a 2hr dark as opposed to the deluxe or a medium, if the color is too dark for a fair haired/fair skinned blonde, can it be washed out a little lighter? I've never used tanning products before other than the sun.
i have super super pale skin, and i use the extra dark. the 2 hour mousse in dark isnt dark enough for me.
How many uses/ tans can you get out of one bottle?
Well for me personally it lasts about 6 uses just depending on how much you use like layering and if you only do one part of your body ! i usually just do one coat.

If you have sunspots does this particular product dark in the sun spots
I have moles and freckles and this doesn't darken them, in my personal experience it almost makes the freckles blend in
I read from 1 reviewer on here that after showering the color fades a bit, has that happened to anyone else? What bout using this product and going to a pool or beach- does the sand rub off the color or does the pool chlorine wash the color off or discolor it in any way?
i leave mine on for a solid 24 hours if i dont go to the gym or sweat much. the bronzer in the tan before you wash it off is amazing. I actually wish the tan was that colour. if i wash mine off any sooner than around 10 hours after application, its way lighter than what it would be if i left in on for the whole 24 hrs.
chlorine doesn't discolor it, but there is nothing you can do about your fake tan fading in water. depends on how long you plan on spending in water. sand has never been a problem for me.
Does it rub off on clothes and bedding?
Hey Jamielynn. This product has a color guard which does slightly rub off onto clothes. Once you wash the color guard off the tan itself dosnt rub off onto your clothes and usually lasts around 5-7 days before it fades and needs re-applying.
I find it best to apply the tan at night, sleep in loose clothes then wash off the guard in the morning!
Although it might rub onto my PJS slightly it has never gone on my bedding.
