does the DB1 do rounded floors of the pool?
The floor and walls are curved at the bottom and corners and I think the DB1 tries to cover these curved areas as best it can. Contacting Maytronics might answer your question better.

My cleaner is flat on the floor going in one direction, but in the other direction (roller brush in front) it wheelies off the back at about 45 to 60 degrees. Is there a solution to this problem? It does it with clean basket and UN-kinked cord so that's not the problem

I have a concrete in ground pool which is lined with vinyl, would this unit be suitable? Are the brushes and tracks rubber??
Hi Jeff, thank you for your enquiry regarding the Dolphin DB1. Is the liner new? We can suggest one of our Floor Only cleaners for an inground concrete base Vinyl pool however; You must check with the manufacturer of the Vinyl liner and ask if a Dolphin robot is suitable.
The brushes on the DB1 is an All terrain PVC brush.

Hi, I have a DB1 which does a reasonable job. It does spend a lot of time where it appears the pump is not running. During this time the robot does not pick up anything off the floor it just stirs up the dirt & debris with its scrubber. I think if the pump ran more often it would be better. I understand it switches the pump off when it is doing its pirouettes for changing direction etc. Has anybody else noticed this?
Hello Rod. Thank you for reaching out. The Dolphin DB1 has an impeller motor and drive motor within its motor unit. If their of these components appear to not function, the robot will generally stop moving and assessment is recommended.
In order for the Dolphin DB1 to turn, the impeller motor will appear to turn off/stop to allow for the front of the robot to float so that it can turn on the back corner.

Hello there. Just purchased a new house that has a db1 pool cleaner. Set it up and it works fine. Can you pls advise advise how long a clean cycle takes when actived to operate daily on setting 1. Is there any difference in cycle run times across the 1 2 and 3 settings? Txs
Hello Rob. Thank you for reaching out. The Dolphin DB1 is a floor only model and has a standard cycle time of 1.5 hours programmed to it. If your Dolphin DB1 has the weekly timer feature enabled, the Dolphin will still run for the 1.5 hour duration regardless as to whether it is programmed for every day (1), every second day (2) or every third day (3) for the seven day period. Will this robot clean the walls and steps of the pool?

my db1 is getting power but only moves about 1ft forward then stops and wont go anymore. Ive cleaned the propeller and taken out the basket but still have the problem, what is could it be?

We have been offered a second hand DB1 cleaner that is 4 years old. We have an 11m pool and spa. The spec's say it's only suitable for 8m. The seller has said the pool shop said it will do half the pool at a time?
Hi Lisa. The DB1 will cover as much area as possible during its cleaning cycle. As this model is a floor only cleaner, its ideal pool length for cleaning is eight metres in length. However, if the robot is started from the middle of the pool, it may increase its overall ability to clean a pool of a larger size.
