I wanted the white fridge, but the store offered me a $100 discount for the silver one. I like silver too, so I chose the silver one.
Does the black model show finger marks as this would drive me insane!
My fridge has sleek silver mirror-style doors where fingerprints hardly show. It looks stylish and is easy to keep clean.
Does the ice tray tip itself? It’s got ice sitting in it but it hasn’t tipped.
Took nearly 24 hours after fridge was plugged in , after that started making ice automatically . Yes it should tip into container .
Hi there, I want to purchase the MR-WX700C Series fridge. Our fridge fitting space measures 1830 mm in height, 900 mm in width, and 750 mm in depth. My question is, do we need to have 50 mm of space at the top? Specifically, we have 1830 mm in height from the front to 400 mm towards the back and 2000 mm in height from 350 mm from the back wall to the front. Thanks Bill
Hi Bill I think it should work, if anything it will sit quiet flush in your fridge space. Is there any reason you were thinking you need additional 50mm ? I just measured ours again, it's around 1820 from top of the fridge to bottom. Hope this helps.
Thanks, the product specifications suggest 50 mm space.
Sorry I was not aware of the 50mm space requirement, might be worth calling Mitsubishi directly and see if they can guide you through. Good luck with your purchase.
We love this fridge. It is fabulous in nearly everyway! We just keep having one problem- we find it has developed an odour issue. Tried everything. cleaned every section. Especially the ice dept. Any ideas what we should try next ?
Is there any way to get this delivered to the US
What are the dimensions of this frig?
Where is the electrical chord located on the back of the fridge - top or bottom? How much space do i need to leave at the back of the machine for circulation
It is at the bottom back and my power point is on the top right hand side. The cord is long enough to suit. I leave around 1cm gap at the back. May be have a read for their manual to find out more external link
Thank you.
I'm used to a freezer that is plumbed and so continually makes ice without us having to think about it. How big is the water reservoir in this fridge and is it a pain to have to keep filling it?
Plumbed in connection is a risk for leaks at the tap and i think the system is much harder to clean and repair. The 700L uses a tank that we only refill every couple of weeks. I like it as it is easy to keep clean and you can use filtered water to fill the tank. I guess it depends on how much ice you use
Thanks so much Bruce. I’ve never had a problem with plumbed water. I saw the fridge briefly in store and the removable tank seemed very small - like a litre or less, or does it have a bigger tank underneath?
This model Mitsubishi fridge specifications sheet indicates that the ventilation clearance requirements are: Top 50 mm Sides 12.5 mm Rear Zero mm
This differs to most other models that recommend min 60mm rear clearance. What is different about the 700L Multi Drawer unit that permits no rear clearance? Is this correct?
Bruce, I thought I read in the supplied fridge manual the heat gets removed from the side & top panels, the air gaps are the bare minimum any air gap greater will improve on energy saving. Our WX 700 has air gaps on sides of 40mm & 50mm top, more or greater ventilation is always better for refrigeration if you have the space The longer we own this white 700C the ease of use & layout makes us feel this was a great purchase we certainly don't regret
besides the Product Height/Width/Depth, has anybody the Packaging Height/Width/Depth as this is decisive to take it through the apartment door?
Go to appliances on lineand seach. The have the packed size.
For what it's worth Joerg our fridge did get delivered with the packaging intact to the property but before they entered the house they removed the packaging as it was a tight fit just getting it through the only available doorway to our Kitchen, further more we had to remove the door & door jamb to enable safe transit into actual kitchen, thankfully we had a builder on site that made it all very easy with removal & rehanging of door.
Hi Joerg,
The package dimensions are:
Box Height: 1890 mm Box Width: 860 mm Box Depth: 805 mm Box Weight: 150 kg
These dimensions are subject to change.
Kind Regards, Mitsubishi Electric Australia Support
Is the 700 litre variant more noisy than then 470 litre version?
Hi Joerg, Our 700 litre WX700C can hardly be heard running, there is only the slightest sound, really I would say not noticeable unless you trying to hear it, none of our household have noticed any noticeable noise or sound . Hope that helps
Hi Ralph, Thanks for the quick response. I know that these fridges run on 15dB, that is a long distance from any competitor, and the reason I gonna buy it. My question was more focused if the bigger fridge has slightly more dB, or the same as the smaller fridge (it consumes 25% more power which points towards more noise but also has more surface to discharge heat .. but i have no idea how to really model this in term of physics). Has anybody more insight into this?
Hi Joerg, The WX700C we have does not have hardly any audible noise. The fridge is also made in Japan and has copper coils, the smaller fridge is made in Thailand and I believe does not have copper coils. Hope that helps.
how would you know the 470L is made in Thailand?
Hello What paint colour matches the diamond white fridge best. We are in Australia and painting the cupboard. Fridge is to be delivered but cabinet maker asking. Thanks
Rosi, We have the cabinets painted in NEW NATURAL WHITE, it is not identical but looks good, do keep in mind that the paint colour will look different depending on the light & whether you have chosen a gloss or semi gloss or a Matt finish what we have
what is the best size for the my cabinets to match the fridge size?
There has been some feedback tgat there is no lighting other than led in the main fridge compartment. Is there a reason why lights can’t be in all the other compartments? In an average lit kitchen, have people found this an issue? Do any other manufacturers offer more extensive lighting? Certainly would help in the freezer especially.
I have a well lit kitchen - no lights in the fridge drawers would be a show stopper for me. I have an Electrolux French Door EHE6899 and it has lights in both of the drawers. I definitely would not buy a fridge without drawer lights.
Height? Measurements?

I am having problems with the ice draw icing up. Less than 3 months old and noticed compressor suddenly making more noise. I checked all the drawers and noticed that the ice making mechanism is totally iced up and big clumps of frost and ice all around the upper part of the drawer. I unplugged and defrosted. Dried everything and tuned back on. 12 hours later I am noticing that frost is developing again. Ice is still being made. Is this a problem that is happening to others and is there a fix. I don't want to defrost a frost free fridge. Thanks
When you defrosted it and dried it, do you mean you also removed the ice maker drawer and removed ice around the drawer tracks etc.?
Hi. I had to wait until the area defrosted in order to pull out the ice drawer as the entire mechanism was caked in thick ice. I was unable to unlock the mechanism until it had all defrosted. Once I was able to remove the ice cube tray I could see a big build up of ice behind that also. So waited for that to also melt. Then dried the entire area. I did take some photos which I have but can't upload into this convo.
This what I am experiencing now Once you defrosted all worked OK after this?
No it didn't. It continued to frost up. I think I have found the solution though! I watched a Youtube video about the fridge. It was in Japanese so I couldn't understand what they were saying but I noticed that they put a small packet under the water container (The one that fills the ice). external link I did the same using a piece of plastic. It just lifts the front of the drawer by a few mm's but seems to have solved the problem. I think Mitsubishi need to look into this issue!.
its pathetic that Mitsubishi isnt responding effectively here and customers have to translate videos from Japanese to fix a brand new fridge. Mitsubishi, I hope you can do alot better and provide solutions on these reviews rather than ask more questions which will only infuriate customers and make you look more incompetent.
I hope you can see that your comment about your own product shows ineptness. You have no idea what these people are all talking about which is actually overall, is the same experience from multiple users. Either you are across your ice makers having an issue or you are not. It's your core business to be across your core business. Do better.
Can the doors of this fridge be reversed. As in larger door on left and smaller on right?
No they can't be reversed
Can the doors of this fridge be reversed. As in larger door on left and smaller on right?
No, none of our models have reversible doors.
Is there a minimum space required for sides
You need a minimum of 0.5cm and more for the sides and 5cm space on top of the top
Info says 50mm also required behind. Does anyone know the depth of the Australian plug. If it’s greater than 50mm, it means the fridge will stick out even more from my 600mm counter depth, unless I mi e the PowerPoint to the top (above could work as the power cord appears to be longer than the height of the fridge)
