Mitsubishi Electric 710L French Door MR-L710E Series Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have condensation up inside the fridge. How to I adjust to stop this
check your seals
Hi Len, Condensation forms when moisture enters the fridge and attracts to the cold, dry surfaces. Common sources of moisture include: • Air leakage through torn or damaged door seals or misaligned doors • Excess moisture from fresh produce that is not sealed • Unsealed wet dishes releasing moisture
To prevent condensation, ensure: • Door seals are clean, dry, and intact • Fresh produce is stored in sealed containers • Wet dishes are covered or sealed before storing in the fridge
If you have checked all of these and the issue persists, please get in contact with us directly: external link

Asking Mitsubishi Electric Reps: 1. Is this still available? 2. If so, who sells it (Brisbane)? 3. Does it come in a version with water-ice maker (plumbed in)?
we bought this fridge over 5 years ago so i suppose it has been replaced by a new model. this model has a inverter compressor which means it never stops unless you turn it off or a blackout, meaning no current surge every time it stops and re starts like older fridges. also look at or ask about fridges that have linear compressors. as of this post the Mits is still faultless
Thanks Steve - am looking for a new fridge, this would be perfect if available with water/ice maker. Can't find any reference to it on Mitsubishi site, so thought I'd give this a go!
Hey guys. Trying to get the door handles off my fridge to get it through a doorway.. any clues??
What is the power consumption of this fridge in Watts please?
Hi Stephen, Sorry we missed this question. I hope you got your fridge into your home ok. We generally recommend contacting one of our service agents (https://www.mitsubishielectric.com.au/homeowner/contact-us/) to remove the doors of our fridges to reduce the risk of problems with electronics, particularly with models with control panels on the outside of the door.
Hi Daisy,
The MR-L710EG has a rated input of 48.7 W.
Can I purchase replacement door seals. Fridge now 7 years old and the fridge doors aren’t sealing anymore. TIA Deb
Probably best to contact Mitsubishi directly. They can probably sell direct or recommend a repairer who does.
Thanks Caro. I’ve actually done the petroleum jelly fix on the seals for now. Going to change over the fridge in a few months.
Hi Deb,
Fridge door seals are available from our Spare Parts Distributors listed for each state on this page: external link

I have the MR-L710E and my control panel has stopped working, can this be replaced or why has it stopped working Fuse ???
We have the same question that someone posted two years ago. The freezer is working well but fridge is no longer cooling. This also happened whilst the fridge was in warranty and was fixed easily by removal of ice somewhere. We just can’t find that spot! Any advice as we we have a 21st in 3 days and had already started prepping some food so quite keen to fix! Fridge was bought in April 2014.
Hi Katie, Please contact our After Sales Support team via external link or by calling 1300 651 808 to speak with one of our Technical Support technicians to answer that question. Kind Regards, Mitsubishi Electric Australia
If there is ice accumulating in your fridge, the defrost cycle (heating element) may not be working. If you're not very technical, getting Mitsubishi is probably your best (but not necessarily the cheapest) option. Fridges often seem to live around seven years these days, our Samsung packed it in with the same problem a couple of weeks ago, also seven years old. We decided to cut our losses and bought another fridge, not Samsung this time :).
Sadly, it's the way of the world! We have a Westinghouse beer fridge, was demoted (from main fridge) about 20 years ago. It was bought second hand in 1986 when 10-15 years old. After replacing the drain from the freezer with a 1/2" drain that doesn't clog up (that is what caused frosting, the heater still worked, but the water couldn't escape during the defrost cycle) and replacing the Westinghouse fan with -- anything else that worked! (I religiously replaced the fan about annually with the original brand for years, drove a zillion miles every time to pick it up), fortunately replaced one time with another, I think it might be Kelvinator) and it has just run with no issues for well over 20 years. (I may have had to de-clog the drain once in that time. Part of that mod included making a new 'catch funnel' to collect the condensate coming out of the freezer. Why the hell the manufacturer couldn't simply make all that a bit bigger - oh, of course, they want it to stop working -- !! As far as I can see, they still build in this infuriating feature. And I still have an old round-shouldered 'Pope' bought in 1974, was probably 20 years old then, still works --.
I love my fridge in every way except.... My fridge doors are plastic and they are dimpling and distorting. Very disappointed. The stockist that I bought it from was uninterested and now no longer deals in appliances. Please advise?
Good afternoon - I need to move my fridge and need to either remove the handles or take the doors off - can someone advise how to do this without causing damage ? Thx
Hi. We have had the grande for couple of trouble free years. About two weeks ago we noticed a horrible smell in fridge area. We followed the usual cleaning protocol s and can't completely get rid of it. We have pulled out drawers and cleaned everywhere. My question is does this model have a drip tray? Thanks for your time.
I wasn't aware of a drip tray but then again i haven't pulled each and every drawer out either.
This refrigerator model does not have any other trays that are accessible. It may be the case that there is a spill which has leaked in the air duct. Try looking for any traces of spills that might be around any gaps within the refrigerator compartment.
If you can’t locate the source of the smell, you may need to organise a repairer to attend and pull the refrigerator apart to clean it properly.

One side of our glass doors cracked I was not home for 2 days and come back to this; I am really upset about it because we have only had the fridge not even a year and it cost us so much money!
What did warranty support say?
She just asked me to send her the photos of the damage; no response yet :(
Funny how things happen when people "aren't home"
Hi, do you just pop fruit n veg in the crisper drawer, or are they better in fridge containers? Like Tupperware fridge smarts? It’s being delivered next week, just want to know what’s the best option. Thanks!
I just pop them straight into crisper without a container.
Can anyone confirm if the white version of this fridge goes yellow when it's in the sun? I would love to buy the white one, but not if it's going to go yellow!
looking at the Glacier White - does it mark and scuff easily ?
we have a misubishi MR-L710EG I wonder if the (bottom) shelf that holds the vegetable case can be removed for thorough cleanning. Fish juice has spilled and I can't get rid of the odour even though I cleaned everything else. Thanks
Hi Louise! I’d be keen to know if you found a solution? I have the same problem. Have googled for solution and manual offers no help! Thanks :)
Am thinking of purchasing this fridge, can the shelves in the fridge be adjusted to a different height to fit very tall things?
Yes they can but only by about 2 inches unless you remove a shelf but the doors have good storage for very tall items hope this helps have a great day
Refrigerate on l4 grande not cooling
Have had for 6 months
Check that it is actually set to cold or colder. If that doesn't work call Mitsubishi to come out and look at it.
my width space is 790 can i fit a mitubishi french door fridge in that space
No, the fridge is 850mm wide. I don't think there is a double door fridge that will fit this space. You may need to look for a single door fridge instead. We had a similar problem trying to find a double door fridge to fit a specific space and only the L4 would fit.
Hi Frank, Thanks for the question. You will not be able to fit the L4 but yes, there are 2 other fridges that are available to fit that width. The WX500 or the EX574 I have included the link below. external link
Thanks, Mitsubishi Electric
thank you
