CU-E24FKR panasonic inverter air con ... why does this air conditioner after a 5 minutes turn off with timer light flashing? We have taken batteries out, turned power off then put on again and still does the same we have cancelled the timer.. what's wrong with the aircon any help ...
Hi Bill, the timer light flashing indicates a fault with the unit and would require service. Please keep in mind this unit was sold in 2006 and spare parts supply maybe limited.

I have the Panasonic Model: CU-E24FKR (Purchased June 2007) - the outside unit has been flawless, however the inside fan has progressively gotten noisey (presume bearings). I can hear it all over the house it is that bad! Has anyone had one repaired - or would we consider updating? Works well - just the NOISE :(

Please keep in mind due to the age of the unit there maybe a limitation on spare parts availability. The unit is going into a fault. What you need to do is get the remote, press the check button (bottom left of remote) and hold for 5 seconds whilst standing at the head unit until screen changes on the remote. This is now the fault code scroll. Now slowly scroll through the fault codes until you hear a beep from the head unit. What ever code the head unit beeps on is indicative of the fault.
You will then need a manual to reference the code but this will help point you in the direction of the problem. The manual is vague on fixes for the faults.
My apologies, I just realised your unit is a different unit to mine, however I know with the cs/cu-zTKR series a flashing timer light is indicating there is an error. I am not familiar with eEKR series but if your remote does have a similar button pattern, it can't hurt to try.
Can you turn on air conditioner on with out a remote control CSW 12 EKR?
The air conditioner can only be turned on with the remote control.
CSW 24-EKR is the model I have on my wall in my lounge room and it does not work. Wondering if this model is still in stock and worth having a technician look at it or is the cost of fixing not worth it and I look at another model?
The outdoor unit model number is CUW 24-EKR
Considering Panasonic is absolute rubbish and their customer service woeful, I'd be replacing it with another brand.

Hi Nickov, I don't work for Panasonic so I couldn't help you. They are rubbish Air Conditioners anyway. I've never bought another Panasonic Product and never will.
Hi Nickov, I do have a manual for Panasonic. You would probably be able to download one from the net. Best air - con we've bought! This must be either the 6th or 7th summer we've had ours & it hasn't missed a beat. It was 46 degrees here the other day & as we live 200km from the nearest town we need something reliable.
