I was told they could do nothing as the warranty was up!!! Ended up getting a new iron, NOT a Phillips.
Hi Darko, nothing could be done for my steam iron, I had to buy a new iron. I basically threw this one in the bin which was unfortunate as it wasnt cheap!! Goodluck with yours...

Hi Hannah I called the number they gave and spoke to a person from Phillips who said to take it to one of their authorized service places, one was reasonably close to me. When I asked if it is fixed will the same thing occur in the future they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't. I called the service place close to me and was greeted with an answering machine, left a message and no response. Subsequently the Phillips Australia team said to send them my contact email so they could contact me, I did and they gave me the same number as the first time. Seems to be going around in circles.

Why does my steam iron GC 7330 keep turning off !!!? I am in the middle of ironing something and it continues to turn off . Comes back on after the heating process but I ha e to wait each time. Can only get about 2 shirts done before it turns off !! Help its out 9f its warranty - only 1.5 years old. Should still work !!!!!!!
Hi, we're really sorry to hear that. Our irons come with a two year warranty. Pls call 1300 363 391, option 1 and we'll try to help you. Philips Team.
Hi I had that happen a lot with this iron that it ended up I could not iron at all or like you just said get one shirt done then it would turn off, you need to get it serviced ring up the philips number asap as you only have two year warranty and make sure you get a ref number so that it is in there system, I think that I ended up making a complaint as I had not heard from them and got it fixed, and it got fixed, well it got fixed then something else happened and they got me to send it into them at their cost depending on where you live will depend on where you have to take it, also if it takes to long to get fixed ring and make a complaint, that is one mistake that I did I just kept ringing the shop where it was being serviced instead of both them and Phillips.
Good luck:)
Hi, I must be lucky - that has never happened to me (touch wood!!) The thing I dislike the most is if you have a lot of ironing to do and the motivation to do it, you have to stop as the constant steam ends up making the ironing board cover wet and water drips down onto the floor. I have added another undercover to see if that helps
