Ratsak Fast Action Bait Station Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have video of the rats sniffing around and at the ratsak pellets but they won't eat it. Can I soak it in something to make them want to eat it?
As it is poison, I wouldn't do anything like that. Better switch to something more effective.
Hi Kumar, Thank you for providing feedback for our product. Second generation anticoagulant rodenticides, including Ratsak Fast Action, are used by households for fast acting domestic control of rats and mice. Households use them in a range of difficult spaces such as roof cavities, and subfloor areas and indoor damp spaces (laundries and garages). They also help control rodent species that are resistant to first generation anticoagulants.
However, Ratsak is aware of the risks associated with anticoagulant rodenticides and provides application directions and cautionary information to limit the possibility of non-target species, including wildlife, being harmed. This includes instructions on placement of baits , the use of bait stations and appropriate disposal of rodent carcasses.
In addition, Ratsak has launched an alternative product including Ratsak Naturals range which uses natural ingredients. The constituents of this product are sodium chloride comprising only 20 g/kg and corn gluten meal at 550 g/kg. external link
Hi John, We would like to assist you with your enquiry about the Ratsak Fast Action Bait Stations. We wouldn't recommend soaking the product has this would decrease the effectiveness. Here are a few helpful tips to use. - While handling remaining bait material/ animals carcasses, wear gloves. - Baiting for at least 2 weeks will be necessary to reduce rat/mouse numbers. - There are other effective methods called pulse baiting. Put out one bait stations and allow the rodents to feed for a few days. Do not put more baits out at this point. The rodents that have consumed the bait will die over coming days (approx 4 - 7 days). Continue replenishing bait until left untouched. -Try not to touch the bait as this deters rats and mice from eating it. -Eliminate as far as practical all food and water sources in the surrounding areas of activity.
If you do have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact the Ratsak team again.

Placed five ratsak bags around outside of house, in the morning all bags had disappeared including packaging sack. Do rats eat packaging on the spot or take it back to their nests? Concerned that opened packets might be lying around our house and could be a danger to pets or children.
Hi Allan, The Ratsak Fast Action Bait Station and the Ratsak Fast Action Throw Packs are not registered for use outdoors. There is a risk of poisoning to children and non target animals, such as pets and wildlife.
In outdoor situations, we recommend using the Ratsak Bait Station, so rats are unable to remove the baits and carry them to another location and the baits are not accessible to children or other animals.
Unfortunately, we have no bait in our range recommended for use in outdoor areas with pets.
In these areas, as a bait free option, we recommend using a rat trap in a Ratsak Trap Station to keep the trap safe from non target animals or children.
Kind regards
Yates
