Used my Revitive recently and resulted in quite bad muscle pain in calves , particularly right leg which has lasted for several days , would appreciate advise before using devise again Many thanks Alan
Hi Alan B. Are you new to using Revitive, or using it again after a break? Sometimes you can experience some muscle fatigue after the initial few sessions - similar to if you began a new exercise program. The muscles could be slightly overworked. If this sounds possible, our recommendation would be to take a few days to rest the muscles and start low and slow. Bring the intensity down to a lower level and shorten the sessions. Do this for a few days and very gradually increase.
If you have been using Revitive for some time and this muscle pain is new, it might be worth a quick chat to your doctor to ensure there is no underlying cause.

Sharp sensation from revitive
Hi Susie f. This is usually due to a small crack or abrasion in the skin. When this occurs the nerve endings are a little more exposed so the Electrical Muscle Stimulation can feel quite sharp. You can try applying a plaster / bandaid to the affected area and resume use - this generally overcomes the issue.
If the sharp sensation persists we'd recommend applying some moisturiser to the soles of the feet and waiting a few days for the skin to recover.

Can l use my revitive medic after a total knee replacement and if so how long after surgery
Hi CAK, Knee replacement and metallic implants are not a contraindication for use. On rare occasions the electrical muscle stimulation can feel slightly more intense close to the site of a metallic implant - this is less common when the implant is as high as the knee.
In terms of timing, we do recommend that you check with your doctor before use if the surgery was recent. We also suggest that you use with caution in the 6 months post-surgery. This means that you should ensure that the intensity remains comfortable (especially for the affected side) and that you take breaks from the therapy as needed to ensure it does not impact your recovery.
If we can offer any more advice, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767.

Thank you that’s helpful
I had an ischaemic stroke 5 months ago, have high blood pressure(controlled) and take blood thinners (clopidogrel). Is revitive medic suitable for me to use?
Hello Valerie B. I hope your recovery is going well. Because you have a pre-existing condition, we would recommend that you check with your doctor before use. Your doctor will have a full view of your current condition and any relevant history - they are in a better position to advise you.
Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia.
Thank you I've had gp confirmation. Why do I feel sensation greater in one leg than the other. My swollen leg gets no sensation unless I turn it up to 24 while my non affected leg feels it at 14. Is this normal
Hi Valerie B, Great that you've checked with your doctor. It is not uncommon for the sensation to be slightly different from one side to the other. This can be for a range of reasons - it might be a previous injury or a medical condition that impacts one side more than the other. If the difference is significant and you are concerned - please run it past your doctor on your next visit.
We recommend you maintain a comfortable intensity for the more sensitive side - the other side will still get the benefits of the EMS.
Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia
can i use the revitive more than once per day?
Hi there Robert, Yes you can use Revitive with EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) therapy for up to six 30-minute sessions a day. Exceeding that may cause muscle fatigue. If you aren't used to EMS, we suggest starting with one 30-minute session a day.
If using the Body Pads with TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), you can use it anytime you need for pain relief on targeted areas such as your lower back, shoulders and knees.
