My mower is operating as if the choke is fully on. Using twice the fuel, running very rough and emitting black smoke and lacks power. I have replaced the spark plug. What else do I need to replace/do please?

Try replacing the choke cable as it may be stretched.

Brand new , Purchased in Jan 2022, no problems at all except doesn't cut anywhere near low enough, I have read other reviews, how can Rover sell mowers that don't cut low enough?

Regards Robert

Does this mower have a big trampoline type spring in it somewhere? I found one broken hanging off it but I’m not sure if it is from this crap mower or from an old trampoline.

how can i lower the cutting deck more

Randeep Singh
Randeep Singh

Mate, don't go lower than no.2 on the cutting deck height, the belt comes off. Also put a bit of anti slip mat on your seat, else get ready to slide off on turns.

The belt is what was put on by Morton's machinery, the authorized dealer and service ppl. It is the prescribed size.

I am after a good reliable auto ride on mower for my 2 acres it has slopes but i am moving in 12 months to buy my own block it could be 1 acre or 5 . I dont know whether to choose a rover or john deere or cox or what one. I want it to last and not cost me money fixing problems. Any suggestions please?

Rover has 5 year warranty and will be the least expensive from my experience. It also has a thicker deck than your other choices, some john Deeres have a plastic gearbox s well!
