Hi, my water dispenser tap isn’t pouring water only drips but when I take it out of the fridge and press on the tap it works fine, it’s as if it needs to be pushed down more but it fits perfectly in place inside of the fridge. Is it worth buying a new tap?

Leaking water & freezing under the drawers
The drain is blocked. Switch off the fridge. Unscrew the inside back panel and let defrost completely. Pour hot water into the clogged drain hole. For a long term solution put in a new longer heating clip if you are a bit technically inclined. Heaps of videos on YouTube. If not put the panel back and restart the fridge.
My water tank dispenser will not keep the water in the tank. I have removed the tank and checked the filter and can’t find what I sent the problem. Do I need to purchase a new little filter

My fridge control panel and lightening in my fridge wont work. The power point is working. It's something to do with the fridge but I cant get it to work again? I've tried resetting it to.

Door alarm has stopped working although it is turned on. When you switch the alarm button on and off it makes the normal alarm sound but does not work when switched on.

Model srf527dsls ive had this fridgefreezer freom new approx 8 years now in a sort time after purchase I had water pooling under the veg bins quick fix I used hair drier to defrost drain tube then wrapped a wire around the heater element and extended it into the drain hole problem solved . Now some 7 odd years later the problem has returned, water pooling under the veg bins and turning to ice .I have checked the heater element its good suspect defrost sensor of defrost timer any ideas also where is the timer locataed on this model...Many thanks [email removed]
Fridge temperature always 12 even when I set it to 3 is not changing some times going to 10 or 5 is not consistent any idea how i fix this thanks
Anyone know how to manually defrost this fridge? Having the same issue as others.
The quickest way is with a hair dryer. If you can, gently start prying the back panel firstly by removing the screw behind the small plastic plug up top (I can't remember exactly, but I believe there are two screws on the bottom as well) then prying down left & right hand side as there are clips holding it firmly in place. You cannot be too rough, keeping in mind the panel has foam insulation that is most likely stuck to the ice so it can be damaged if you pry too hard too fast. Essentially the idea is to get the hair dryer to blow warm air behind the panel until the ice gives & you can eventually remove the whole panel to finish the job thoroughly - trust me there'will be a lot of ice in there. Careful not to overheat any one area as there are the cooling pipes, don't want to rupture anything, there are also fins which are very sharp, don't go in with your hands blindly.
Alternatively put you fridge contents in an esky & leave the fridge open for a day.
Absolute pisser. I followed online advice to fix the fan noise OK. Now the fridge wont hold its recommended 3o temperature and keeps returning to 20o which is useless. It's a mere 2 years old. Never had these issues with previous fridges. Any way of getting it to hold the 3o?
Look on youtube you have to defrost the bottom drain too just above the crispers its a small hole until you can hear bubbles of water going down. Im still trying to figure out how to empty the water thats why im in this forum.
I have rather thick ice underneath the bottom freezer drawer...can't see any sign a drainage hole that might be blocked. Unit is too difficult for me to move away from the wall to unplug so it defrosts...and very awkward to defrost in the heat of Summer anyway ... any ideas on how to safely get rid of the ice build up PLEASE?

I am sorry to say I have never had this problem with the freezer
all I can suggest is that you just keep removing the ice from underneath the bottom freezer drawer as it build's up

external link This site tells you how to unblock it, I've done it a few times now using a jug of boiling water and a hair dryer, I just lay a bath towel in the bottom of the fridge. It's a pain in the a** and can take a while, I've just found a site to buy a new longer drain clip to replace the short one so hopefully that fixes it because it's getting to be a joke how quickly its freezing over.

Problem solved. It is an actual manufacturer's design fault and as such the pin you mention was replaced by the Samsung Service people FOC even though the unit is long out of warranty.

I have lost my receipt and Harvey Norman cannot find it and I'm getting no help rom Samsung , any suggestions the fridge is leaking water to the crispers and now not cooling below 12c . Any advise as Samsung not able to help?

We this Samsung refrigerator and the top fridge is not cooling. This is after is made so much noise and then stopped and then now this. We tried reset it but it still doesn't work. What can we do? We need help as the food are already getting spoilt. The freezer is working all fine.
Had the same issue and had to remove fridge contents, remove the cover of the fan and hack away ice build up thus releasing the fan. 3o temps restored though it took 20 minutes to kick in.
