Hi I really like this model because it's good value for money and a good size I have read all the reviews and there is no real positive feed back is there anything positive as I don't want to purchase a dud? thanks
Hi.. the positives would probably be different for everybody but we initially liked it as the freezer on bottom, great size, water dispenser (no plumbing needed) and we thought we were getting value for money. On spending this amount of money we also expected quality and being so new didnt expect the problems we had and expected better after care. Also went looking for the egg compartment once we got ot home and there isnt one. It is a nice fridge but that means nothing when its showing dfaults within 6 months. We wish we spent more time looking and would have spent more money if we realized the quality.
Hmm difficult choice as I had my heart set on this product
Have a Samsung SRF528DSIS and went to get water from the tank. Unfortunately it did not stop flowing. There seems to be a problem with the spring. Is this replaceable? Fridge is less than 3 years old
Hi. I'm sure it is replaceable and if you copy and paste the following link to your browser, i think this place sells the item your after. If your considering purchasing the spring that is listed in the following link details, I would double check with them first that it is the right part as not being at all familiar with what it looks like, it may not be the right one.

I am afraid I never experienced this particular problem with my Samsung fridge but I can say I found the companies customer service staff to be extremely helpful and
knowledgable. I hope the above information helps somewhat. Good Luck.
Thank you for your response! I have bought a new water tap dispenser from the bigwarehouse site; can not speak more highly about them. I received the tap within 36 hours of ordering! And their emails were highly appreciated. Thanks again!
My fridge 5 months old started making a very loud noise this morning, stop when you open the door but starts up again as soon as you shut it. sounds like a fan I think. any ideas.
This sounds like what happened to mine but mine was 4 years old when it happened. We got the Samsung service people out and the guy said it had built up ice inside the back wall of the fridge which had in turn broken the fan.
We had to have a new fan installed after he removed the ice. The ice was inside the wall, not accessible and not visible. He said it was a design flaw with this model.
I am currently trying to get reimbursement for the repair cost ($220). I'll let you all know how it goes.
Have you plumbed in the ice/water maker? If not, there is a button on the top to turn the ice maker off which I think may stop the noises your talking about. Same thing happened to us but I had forgotten to press the off button for the ice maker and as we didn't have ours plumbed in, the unit was trying to make ice presuming there was water available and when it couldn't get the water, it was making these noises you speak of. As soon as I pressed the off button for the ice, the noises stopped. Not saying this is for certain the reason why your unit is making the noises as I guess there could be any number of reasons. Hope it might help anyway.
Hi Sylvia . Yes that is what it turned out to be iced up and fan hitting on ice. All fixed under warranty .
