Has anyone had problems with the water dispenser getting stuck? It seems to CLICK OFF but water just pours out like it still thinks the switch for water is pressed. I had to turn off the water inlet from main tap on wall to stop water going everywhere. It does not do all the time so assume it is a switch type issue Steve
No, but my display doesn’t show water filter any longer, despite having had a new panel fitted.
I have water leak that puddles on the floor at the front of the fridge. I have also found the need to turn the fridge off for about 20 minutes every 6 months or else it will inadvertently stop cooling. The display panel has several of the LCD bits missing. Samsung not all that helpful with a big fob off. Not a fridge to recommend.
I found them helpful and my lcd also lost some display but it can be easily replaced.

There is continual ice buildup in the bottom of my srf801gdls freezer. I have to break it up and remove it every few weeks otherwise the freezer drawer doesn't close. Had the seals replaced, didn't fix the problem. Is there another solution?
Pull out the drawers. Pull out the back panel. There are a couple of electrical connectors. You will find the drain point inside that back section blocked with ice/debris. Clear that out and you’ll be all good. There are YouTube videos showing the process step by step if you search.
Can you please post a link? The vids I found all talk about the ice buildup in the back of the fridge. Mine is in the bottom of the freezer. Is that the same issue or a different problem?

The problem was the heating electrode in the condenser drain behind the back wall of the fridge is too short. It's a design fault. The whole thing ices up and stops the dehumidifier fan as well, so more and more condensation drains down into the deli drawer and freezer. The fix required some electrical wiring modification of the fridge that I felt was beyond the scope of my ability. Didn't want to blow myself up or burn the house down so bought a new fridge eventually. Best of luck!

My fridge has always built up ice under the freezer door. If I don't scrape the ice from the bottom of the freezer every month, it will soon remind me. Water starts to leak out from the freezer and I know I have to lift out a huge chunk of ice from the bottom. I know this is a common problem with these fridges. By the look of the reviews, I guess Samsung is not doing anything about this problem. My fridge is now 7 years old. Now the ice will not dispense. When I press the ice dispenser, water comes through. The ice is still being made. We just have to open the fridge and take out the ice box to get to the cubes.

Is there a solution to this ice buildup in the freezer problem? I have the same issue.
The little light panel on my fridges deli draw keeps flashing on and off intermittently.. The other day I followed instructions from a you tube post about constant whining off the fridge and I did as instructed used a hair dryer on the icedispenser to. melt any blockage caused by ice...this helped the whining but did not stop the deli draw from still flicker on and off...

I cant believe these bad reviews our Fridge is 6 years old and is in perfect shape and has never missed a beat,!
Must be a hell of a fridge the temp control does not work now the temp in freezer is -9 and +5 in fridge and after two visits from a service man and $200 can not tell me for sure what the problem is not even the Samsung service can answer
Our ice maker has ice in it, BUT only water comes out when we try to get ice. No there are not any blockages etc in the ice tray, it appears it is not changing from water to ice. How do we rectify this?

My fridge has had this problem for the last 12mths or more where every few months the freezer draw will no longer close properly due to ice building up at the very bottom of the freezer. You then have to use a plastic spatula to remove the ice. And thus continue the cycle every few months. It works perfectly otherwise. I did contact Samsung about this issue and was told it was probably due to overloading it and to only half fill the freezer. The freezer has never been overloaded. Cheers
Keep on Samsung as I was told this then next call told something else till eventually out of warranty and not their problem, after my experience my family and I will no longer purchase Samsung as I basically can only use mine for a fridge now and some frozen products, can’t even use the ice dispenser, good luck
Thanks Tracey, I am sorry to hear that...I can certainly understand your frustration. My warranty ended this past Feb unfortunately. My own fault I didn't act on it sooner as I had thought for some reason I had a longer warranty period and not just 2 years. I have previously purchased Samsung products and have always been very happy. However this fridge is definitely not living up to the standard I've come to expect.

My Samsung freezer also has stopped freezing. Ice cream melted and a big mess to clean up. Emptied freezer and then put only a couple of products back in One shelf still not freezing.
You can get a fridge of this size and cost fixed under warranty for up to 5 years for no additional cost (i.e. no extended warranty necessary). According to the ACCC, the product must be fit for purpose for a "reasonable expected lifespan". No one expects to replace their fridge every 2 years. Download and check the ACCC app for details. I have often had items replaced or repaired outside of the manufacturers warranty when armed with this knowledge.
That being said, our Samsung fridge also seems to have developed the leaking issue with a block of ice developing under the freezer compartment. Ours is now 6 years old :(
We have had the same issue - Thanks Dave I will double check ACCC app for further information. We have been told that nothing can be done from Samsung and being based in VIC our only option is to go to court. Understanding the process now however Samsung's claim that they are not across this issue appears to be a lie. Glad I found this website!
Our 5yr old fridge has died Not cooling , not freezing Had a local guy out to look and he said it might be the motherboard and try changing that at a cost of about $300-$350 and see if it works, if not buy a new fridge Motherboard was changed a few months ago when we got someone else to try and fix the ice maker which they couldn’t do Any other suggestions before we do this ?
Samsung are a joke and two plumbers have looked at my fridge and said don’t spend another cent on it - i spoke with Samsung who kept putting me off and offered no help at all! I can’t use the freezer or ice maker and that all started after 18 months so for now it’s just a fridge until we can afford a new one

The freezer & fridge temp displays are missing segments so you can’t see correct temperature. What has caused this and what can be done to fix it? Also is this an LED display or liquid crystal?

I keep getting a build up of ice at the bottom of the freezer which prevents me from closing the door. The only way to remove this is to defrost the ice as I am 72 years old I find this very difficult to do. Is there any other way to fix this problem?

Can I add water manually or do I have to have water line connected?
My fridge is leaking dirty water onto the floor from the front- is there a tray under the fridge that needs emptying?
Has anyone used a Non Genuine filter for the French Door Model and had any problems with leaks?
Can't help you there, I used the genuine filter provided and then replaced it with the same. A leaky filter was about the only problem that I didn't have.
