Hi there. I'm just wondering if I can get the cyclone filter wet to clean it or does it have to just be wiped down. I cant really find anywhere that says either way with this specific vacuum. Thanks

Hi Andy and Hayley, You can use a damp cloth to clean the cyclone filter. Please ensure that parts are 100% dry before reassembling the machine for use. Regards. The Sauber Team

This vacuum appears to be identical in some respects (floor head etc) to some of the Hoover models (even some of the photos in the owner's manuals are the same). Does anyone know whether it is a re-badged Hoover, or is the Hoover a re-badged Sauber?

Actually doesn't matter. After a bit of Googling it appears both Sauber and Hoover vacuums are manufactured by Chinese conglomerate Haier. Given their similarities it would seem they both pop out of the same factory somewhere in China.

Hi, The Sauber Pro Pets is similar to the Hoover Action series, however, there are some differences. Regards, The Sauber Team

Interesting question. The pipes are a different size. I bought a $10 reducer gadget fitted the other pipes I had. I think it would be similar to a Pet Hoover. That’s a really good pet vacuum cleaner too. Eight months on we love this Sauber! It’s not too noisy. We are careful to not suck up large items as it’s fiddly to disconnect the upper pipe fitting to remove them from the pipe. It does quickly get clogged up if bits of sticks, cobwebs etc are sucked up with the pet hair. I actually went into Godfrey’s to buy a specific pet Hoover, but it wasn’t being made any more. The equivalent model had a shorter power cord. That wouldn’t work in my house.
