Had our flue recently replaced due to clogging, now fire still not igniting fully. So much smoke rotating inside box and little coming out chimney, when fan on smoke comes thru. Any ideas why still not working??
Hi Bee, i highly recommend you contact our service team on 1300 HEATER and or email them on service@scandiagroup.com.au . They will be able to go through it all and advise on what is happening and help with getting this resolved for you, on the face of it, it appears the new flue installation may have an issue with it. Please send photos and contact details Graham (Customer Service Team Leader- Scandia)
Why does our Scandie 200 vent keeps sticking is very hard to open & close it has only been installed about one month. Thanks Denise, .
Hi Didd, i would need to confirm the series you have, if it is a series 3 or a new series 4 as they have different air slide mechanisms which would be given different solutions, can you please email a picture of your air slide to me at service@scandiagroup.com.au attn Graham and i will have a look for you and advise?
It's a 4
Hi Didd, the airslide adjustment assembly tension can be adjusted by loosening the screws that hold the spring/washers on, if you find the vent harder to open/close when you are firing the fireplace a known solution is to remove and turn over the washer then you will find the vent easier to operate. Had a Warmbrite 200 professionally installed on 25th July 2022.
Fired it up over the last few days, only to find that I am unable to maintain a fire unless the door is kept ajar.
The fire draws beautifully with the door ajar, but as soon as the door is closed the fire starves of oxygen, and is largely extinguished within minutes.
This is despite the damper being left wide open (and confirmed visually that the air holes in the slide were fully open).
Also, the damper cannot be adjusted with the door closed - the door jams the slide.
Please advise how to get the fire to draw properly with the door closed.
And, was the fire designed so that the door must be opened in order to adjust the damper?
Afternoon Mark, That will happen if the flue is not hot enough. You normally need to leave the door partially open to build the fire until the flue get really hot before you close the door. That process can take up to 30 mins or more sometimes depending on how dry is your wood. The fire should be roaring before closing the door. Any questions please do not hesitate to email us at service@scandiagroup.com.au or call us on 03 8579 5900 Regards Nicolas Customer Service

Hi what is the clearence needed from the rear of the heater to the wall..........
Do you have a rear flu fire
Hi Andrew, currently there arent any rear flue fires in the Scandia range, i recommend you contact a local fireplace/heating dealer in your local area to discuss your needs. Graham A @ Scandia Cust Service.
Is it easy to replace the fan/ fix noise problem? Richard
Can the Scandic warmbrite be inbuilt?
How does the fan work. Ours does not work when the fire is hot
Our fan is very noisey but lucky for us the fan continues to work even when the fire is hot
Can you adjust the air flow.?
We can on the old model we have as it has slides top and bottom of door opening, I think the new model pictured above may have adjustment slot above the door, but I don;t know for sure.
We had a number of issues with trying to adjust the airflow on our heater. It wouldn't burn overnight as the airflow slide did not close properly. Scandia sent a replacement which was incorrect, and we ended up getting it reworked by a local engineer, Works well now but is a messy heater - the firebox is not deep enough. Also very difficult to remove and replace the baffle plate. Would not buy one again !
@Graton Just letting you know that the reason for not closing fully was because the greens lobbied to have the Australian Standards changed so that you cant choke the fire anymore. All fireplaces built from 2018 onward are like that. The 'rework" will void your warranty and potentially house insurance if something happens with the fireplace (not that the rework *cough*improvement*cough* can cause anything to happen)
