Hi Dean, The Sunbeam Multi Function Oven + Air Fryer work like a convection oven while the Turbo Heat Fan Technology ensures perfectly crisp results. So, it does not stop cooking when the door is opened like a regular convection oven.

Could I ask, for cooking time less than 20 minutes, was the Timer Dial rotated clockwise past the 20 minute mark to activate the timer, then rotate back counterclockwise to your desired cooking time?

If this step is not done, the fan does not activate.

The timer was dialled past the 20 min mark to activate the timer. I dialled it back to 20 min which should have been plenty of time to cook, but started to burn the top side at 15 min with the bottom side still soggy and uncooked.

From the extreme noise the machine made on the first cooking attempt, I feel that there is something majorly wrong with the fan and it may not even work anymore.

Attempted to airfry again. Dialled past 20 and then back. Top element comes on but no fan. Making clicking noises as if it’s trying to start the fan but nothing happens

Hello Ursula, Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. Please try the below troubleshooting steps: - If cook time is less than 20 minutes, you must turn Timer past the 20 minutes mark to engage the timer and heating elements then back to desired time. - Set timer knob and temperature knob to desired setting. Both must be turned ON to operate the countertop oven.

NOTE: The top heating elements will cycle ON and OFF to maintain the desired temperature.

That's is what we have been doing the element is on as we can see it but the fan does not move also the bottom tray drip tray when we use the air fryer has black stuff on it

Hi Aileen, not sure what you mean by "2 silver marks".....???

one mark is 11cm long 3cm in widest section, the other on the other side of tray is 14cm lone,3cmwide. They are both above the heating coil/tube. The marks won't wash off and go through the tray.

The crumb tray is supposed to sit under the bottom element I.e. “heating tube” so it’s probably arcing/melting from sitting on the element

it should just turn, it can be a little tough the first time though.

Turn it past 20 then back to desired time. A bit stiff and hard to turn when new

Hi Heather, no reason why not using the top element My concern is cleaning it afterwards as lining will mark easily I'm sure.Not very serviceable.I use a non stick fry pan or BBQ.Hope this helps !!!....

Hi Carole, a bit of a fire risk I would suggest,due to the build up of heat. I don't think I would do it frankly.......your insurance company would not cover you......

Hi, grill should work when grill selected and temperature set.Timer should also be selected ( selector taken past 20 mins then adjust to desired time). That's how I got mine to work.Pizza setting will also activate top element. Cleaning after grilling not easy due to very poor quality. Oven lining should have been enamel or stainless steel where oven cleaners can be utilised. ..........very hard to clean!!! .

As Paul said, and if it doesn't heat up after that I'm afraid the element must have broken
