Sunbeam Ambient WF7400 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 35904803 and 3871How often do you change filters and how much do filters cost
I have had a WF7400 for several years and it recently started dripping from the tap. I could not fix it so I bought a new unit. It started dripping immediately worse than the old one! I think I have wasted my money!
Hi Kevin S, I have just sent you a private message if you could kindly respond via this please. Thanks
Immediately after I placed my notice I was contacted by Sunbeam Customer Support and arrangements were made to send me a free replacement. I took a month to arrive but that was due to Covid slowing the delivery system. I am completely happy with the way we were treated by Sunbeam. Could not have been better, Many thanks.
I bought this Sunbeam WF7400 filter over two years ago from Harvey Norman. I changed the filter every six months. However, it has broken down completely recently - water stopped running although the filter was replaced two months ago. What has gone wrong? What can be done? Thank you. Van Le
Simple answer is it's dead, these have a very short life span as it turns out. Our solution was to get an Aquaport filter, we only use it as a filter, that is we don't use the chiller function, so has a zero carbon foot print, we just fill our bottles and bung 'em in the fridge over night.
I have a brand new water filter given to me as a present. Within hours of plugging it in for use it is dripping from the spout to the extent that it flooded the bench top. Have followed the manufacturers instructions to the letter inot use age. What can be done ???

How often do I have to change the filter? I got it secondhand, I have no manual.
Every six months.
It says every 6 months. But Mine just lasted a week..They say when your water flow reduces it is the time to change filter. It's ridiculous.I can't change water filter every week which costs around $18..It's expensive!!!
I used to have a Sunbeam Brita water filter. I was happy with it until my sister broke it. I was recommended by Good Guys to buy the WF7400 which I thought was easy to fill and use. I flushed it as directed, but when I found it still taste of chemicals, I flushed it further - a total of 10 times. What can I do.
Also, the Brita was silent when dispensing water, whereas this filter makes a racket when dispensing. Is this normal? And it requires it to be plugged in always, using up electricity.
Yes ours makes a humming noise when running - water tastes fine. As a consumer myself, i am not qualified to answer the 'chemical taste' issue. i'd expect electricity usage to be minimal - similar to having a TV or DVD player when not in use. There is always a trickle from plugged in appliances.
