G'day Unimig. After suffering with the Cigweld wire feed issues. Can you please tell me where are your welders made? Google search says Italy. Also do they have any wire feed issues? I'm looking at buying the Viper 182
Hi Tas. Our VIPER machines are made in China. In regards to the wire feed, there are no issues that have been reported.
Thanks for the reply, Unimig
Has this machine the capability to weld aluminium. Small jobs only.
Hi Ross,
It would be able to, but you would need to replace the torch liner and drive roller to suit.
Will this run on standard residential power without blowing a fuse
Hi Thomas, yes this machine is designed for home use so no need to worry about blowing any fuses.
Easily runs off a ten amp outlet, this machine is a cracker, just beautiful to use
What connection is required for a tig torch ? and what is the part number for the knurled feed roller for flux cored wire, thanks
The VIPER 182 will only do Scratch Start TIG and as a result, the 17V TIG Torch is what you'd be after (Part number: 17V-4MCP50). With the roller, the size is 30/10 and an F Groove. The part number will vary depending on the wire size you are running.
Is it safe to purge the gas line, for storage, after completing welding similar to purging oxy/acet gas lines.
I do
