Is this machine dangerous, seems to get very hot, very quickly
I am not a technical person. Just a user who has one. Mine gets hot if I press the left on button, as that turns on the heat (glows red) if I don't want it hot I just press the right button until I get the vibrate mode I want. If yours still gets hot without turning on the heat, it might need repairing. I would return it if you can.

I have been using the Foot Massager once or twice daily for abt. the last two weeks. Recently my ankles and calves started swelling considerably. As I must wear compression stockings (DVT), the installing and removing of same has become quite painful. Can I blame the FM for the swelling?
Sounds likely. Give it a break for a week and see. Checking with you GP might be wise.
I really couldn't say Erwin, except that I have been using it several times a day for at least 2 years while sitting at my desk. I don't have DVT. Please stop using it until you check with your doctor or specialist. Take care.
How many times in one day can I use the visage massager with its full cycle please? I have nerve pain in feet that does not go away and when it gets inflamed with throbbing pain I need to minimise the pain.
Overuse may bruise your feet especially in the softer areas between the heel and ball. I used it 4 times on the first day and found my feet were bruised. Maybe start with two sessions and go from there.
I use mine several times a day under my desk, but I use it for circulation because I am sitting. You need to ask you doctor/endroconoligist about using it with nerve pain, it may aggravate rather than help.
The right foot has the quick pounding along with the vibration but the left only vibrates, is this normal?
No that sounds faulty. Both sides should be the same. Get a refund.
Sounds like the machine has a fault. Aldi are very good about returns, having your docket helps, but these foot massagers have a three year warranty, so I'm sure they'll refund or replace it.
