We’ve just installed the WHE5204BC and can’t believe how noisy it is. I genuinely thought someone was using earth moving equipment next door and was shocked to find that the deep, rumble noise was coming from the fridge! Is it meant to be that loud?

It should not be the noisy. I suggest you contact Westinghouse and lodge a service call. Good luck with your fridge. Based on my experience with my last Westinghouse and Electrolux before that (total of 4 years for both) I am not touching any brands manufactured in China.

mine makes funny noises, but not loud like that. I would be inclined to contact Westinghouse as well.

I have a Westinghouse WHE5204SC The fridge doors gets condensation on the outside of the fridge indicating a poor seal. It appears on the edge in the centre between the two French doors where they open. This seems very inefficient. Is this a fault or do all models do this?

This is a fault Call westinghouse for service if under warranty

It shouldn't do that. Make sure there are no obstructions stopping a good seal. Also check the seal is mounted properly on the door and has not been pulled off at all? Otherwise get a technician out. Mine has a little bit of condensation on the outside of the flat seal in between the doors, but nothing on the doors.

I have read some reviews that the freezer compartment is not frost free and needs to be manually defrosted every few months. is this the case?

My appliance is a french door fridge freezer WHE5200SA ( sorry I had the wrong product number, which was corrected )This one is frost free, I had it fixed and it needed the electronics replaced, that thing regulates when and for how long the defrost mode is to run. Hopefully this has fixed it.
