Hi - Dreame F9 has been great but seemed to have a dying battery - so replaced that now I can get the vacuum to turn on and say its starting then it dies - any tips? ta

One more question, after doing 2 full house cleans and 1 partial house clean (by closing doors) the app has automatically divided the house up into areas. If I just want to clean the house in areas now rather than whole house every time, do I leave the automatic mapping on or do I turn it off. I don’t want to erase rooms on my map because I don’t clean them as often. If I leave the automatic mapping on, will it redraw whole map based only on rooms I choose to clean and erase less cleaned rooms?

I don't use the mapping if I don't want a room cleaned I just shut the door the next clean it does the whole house again I find this a very simple way to do it

Do I have to vacuum whole house 3 times before I can start sectioning off rooms?

Where can I get instructions on how to use app? If I want only the master bedroom cleaned, do I physically carry robot to room, turn it on and close doors? Or is there another way?

Does it work well on medium pile carpet or a it best to choose another model?

I would class our carpet as low to medium pile & find it does a good job .also very good on hard floors as we have a dog & it picks up all hair very well. Hope this helps.

Ok thanks, our whole house is carpet but the kitchen and bathrooms are tile so hopefully it works well on carpet! Is the suction very strong? And how good is the house mapping?

How do I use the mapping function on a double story house? Can I save more than one map? I can’t work it out. The app is not user friendly at all!

So why are there different ‘homes’ then? What’s the point of that? Also, to create a map does the base have to be in the same place for start to finish or can I move it?

Hi Andrea, This device come with one map memory. If you have two houses, it will confuse if you clean second house with first house map(saved map)

“Manage Home” - “Add new home”

That is mi home option which can manage your different house’s devices. For example, if you have office and house, you can add some devices to office and some to home. You can not add one device to both home and office. You only can manage home and office device seperately. If you add f9 at home, then you can not add f9 to office. Hope this will help you out.

Thanks Bryan. Much appreciated. One last question. I have a house with all rooms on one floor except the main living room which is 2 steps lower than the rest of the house. Is there anyway to utilise the mapping functionality so that I can set virtual walls to avoid rugs when I use the mopping function?
