Zodiac Duo-X DX4050 iQ Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: DX4050Can the latest model DX4050 iQ be set up on a daily/weekly schedule via the iAualink app ?
No, but you can turn on remotely and adjust settings I.e duration and wall or floor only
We are seriously considering purchasing a Zodiac Duo DX 4050. Does anyone know why we shouldn't ? It is quite heavily discounted!!! Call me suspicious.
I don’t know what sorts you owned previously? Mine is about one Year old - these are always ‘discontinued’ - they’re just promotional prices - God invented Gentiles because someone has to pay retail. It does what it says - the 60 micron secondary filter is a winner- 160 micron leaves sediment.
The app has no auto schedule unlike their higher level models. So you have to manually start the clean in the app or from the stand console every time you want to run it.
My unit stops working on both settings after a few minutes of being turned on. I’ve check for any obstructions but it all appears clean. And the wall indicator doesn’t work anymore. The unit is a few year old and is stored away and only used a few times a month.
‘A few Years?’ Age shall not weary them. Storage environment will affect electronics. Try checking the strength and reliability of your WiFi signal and type. Wear and tear on the tracks [grip]. You can undertake a hard reset.
Thanks for you help. I turned off the wifi and it now appears to be working fine.
Can this model climb onto pool shelves and clean them?
It can and it does a good job of my splash deck. The only issue would be if the water is shallower than the pool cleaner, it will shut off if this is the case, or if the shelf is narrower than the cleaner, it might miss tight corners.
Hmmm…mine can’t get up onto the ledge…thinks it’s a wall and goes back down
Mine does that for first 20-30 mins or so while it’s in start up, then for rest of cycle it will get up on my steps well. Make sure it’s on full cycle not floor only?
Tried…doesn’t work. Sending it back!
I've had a number of frustrating issues since purchasing the DX-4000 iQ: 1) the robot stopped working after 3 weeks - flashing light - followed all instructions to remediate fault: a) disconnect/reconnect cable connecting robot to control unit b) remove cleaning basket and try running robot without basket c) connect control unit directly in house power socket (quite inconvenient - either provide a longer cord or make the product compatible with using extension cord) 2) could not connect control unit to phone via bluetooth / iAquaLink app - even trying next to the wifi router 3) could not register to MyFluidra - reset password feature does not work 4) inconvenient to carry the robot with the cable - it's not holding on the carrier/trolley and keeps falling
Can you set up a schedule to clean the pool every 2, 3 or 7 days via iaqualink app?
No you can’t. There is no scheduling functionality at all. The app is incredibly basic.
