I purchased 2 Pope hose reels (20m and 30m) and am very disappointed. The hoses are poor quality, often kink and internal works for rewinding often locks. Very poor quality

Would be less than one star if possible. What an absolute pile of rubbish this plastic fantastic is. Worked the first time I used it (to a degree)… Read more

however the second time, it just started getting slower and slower and eventually stopped...for no reason. Was full of water...the hose had pressure. It just stopped.

This company used to make quality products however I have not purchased a Pope product worth owing for some years. I will never purchase another Pope product as long as I roam this earth. What utter rubbish they are. There should be laws in place to prevent companies like this wasting the earth's natural resources with their poor products.

poor quality – Purchased a Pope heritage 20m hose. Absolute rubbish and very poor quality as it kinks all the time, which is very frustrating when you are trying to water. I rang Pope to tell them but they didn't really care. Will never buy one again

These hoses don't last the distance, so keep your receipts and take them back, as they seem to fail well within the warranty period. Once they go… Read more

hard, they quickly split if you try to roll them up tight a few times.

My biggest problem was Bunnings Mudgee, where the staff at the service desk didn't seem to know about the warranty returns policy. They said I would have to organize a replacement through Pope, who said "no" when I phoned them, "Bunnings have to replace it and we fix them up."

I then phoned a manager at Bunnings, who apologized and said "bring it back and we will change it"

I have purchased expensive hoses which have also failed prematurely, but are usually less prone to kinking. I have purchased a few True Blues and none have lasted the distance. So keep your receipts.

Pope ‘premium’ hose reel fail – We hadn’t read the reviews prior to purchase, rookie mistake. All went well until the handle placement, once we did that, and had the hose attachment… Read more

in place the handle wouldn’t turn. Back to Bunnings for a refund tomorrow. Plus it would be nice if somewhere on the box in pointed out you need a connector to the garden tap.

worst product ever – I have had to return this hose twice now and still it keeps splitting on me and it happens when it gets to being used on about the third time. i did… Read more

not fold this hose when i finished using it i always rolled it and hung it. I have just thrown it out and have come to realise that i just wasted my money again.... so tired of poorly made products on the market. I didn't take a photo but you know there is a problem when the water is gushing out of a split in the join towards the end of the hose. $25 down the drain..

I have two Pope Pinnacle 12mm hoses (one 20m and the other 35m) and they have both failed and unusable. The gold Perma Fit connector which is claimed… Read more

to be super strong does not stay connected and keeps blowing of the hose when in use. I went to Bunnings and they said to contact POPE as you have a lifetime guarantee on these hoses. I have contacted POPE via email in January and then a month later in February, now April and I have not heard a thing. Poor customer service.

I'm suprised this product hasn't been recalled. Very poor quality sprinkler. Constantly jams and no rotation. This is the 3rd time ive had to replace it in 3 months. Chinese rubbish trash. Do not buy Pope products

The description on the packaging is deceptive. It claims easily extended to 15m. It is comfortable when extended to 8m, and with a bit of straining… Read more

it will reach 10m, however there is no way it will reach 15m without probably snapping off at the tap fitting. Fortunately I tested the length without turning on the water so was able to return it to Bunnings for a refund of the $74 it cost. Very disappointed, I expected better from Pope.

Handy – A handy small hose reel to use to water the plants on my balcony. There is a YouTube video on the assembly which is much better than the instructions on the box.

Heavy duty build just doesn’t work very well – Paid $75 for the heavy duty metal prong design as a semi-permanent cover-all solution from corner of my garden. Wasn’t plastic and I liked that it… Read more

wouldn’t be affected by UV deteriorating like my other sprinklers. It covers a good distance of 12 meters or so but the mechanism that swing it back just isn’t reliable. It’ll swing through whatever angle (up to about 270deg but I only needed 90-100deg) but just struggles to get back for another cycle. Tried different pressures and angles but my estimation is that it’s just not properly weighted or maybe the spring is too tight to get back through the angle. It just stays there struggling to wind back and ends up watering a narrow angle of garden. Disappointed as I paid for the dearest of its type and I really just need the thing to work out of box.

same but has changed shape and is a little larger . These timers should not be for sale as they leak out of the LCD screen and are a big waste of time. I have purchased these on four different occasions and returned them only to have the same problem over and over again. POPE used to be great but somehow these new style timers are absolutely rubbish . Don't buy them $75.00 and a total waste of your time. Not Happy

Maybe I should have bought an all-plastic one – At first appearance a quality product, with brass swing arm and metal base - I was looking for something more durable than the all-plastic offerings.… Read more

This sprinkler works fine for about a year and then it goes downhill. Problem is they've used soft plastic components for the spindle collar and they aren't so compatible with a brass spindle; seems they get a bit worn and the sprinkler starts to jam. Of course it doesn't help if you leave it out (like most people) and it gets grit in the spindle - you can free it up with a little TLC but its still not going to last as long as the price tag might suggest.

pressure, but worse, it is rusting internally. I'm returning it to bunnings tomorrow. Clearly just more junk that was never tested for its sole intended purpose. Should be illegal to sell junk like this in Australia.

Not worth the extra money – I bought a pope jumbuck hose for the 7 kink rating, it is horrible, kinks and twists all the time. With arthritic hands I thought this hose might be easier to handle, but no. Don't waste your money on this hose.

I don't like the hose – The worst hose I've ever had. The hose constantly twists itself up and kinks. I've only had it a couple of months and I want to replace it already. Very annoying that it has to be untwisted regularly.

Horrible horrible hose – Horrible horrible hose. Like its made of wire. Unforgiving can't gather up and has a mind of its own. Won't buy another pope product. Brand was once associated with quality but now entry level.
