Wonderful service and fast delivery. Very well constructed web site and helpful staff available on the phone and by email. The bike is great and I believe very good quality at a reasonable price.

Bought the Leitner Berlin Cruiser e-bike, my second leitner bike. The first was a step over e-bike for my wife, she loves it. Hence I bought one for myself and also love it. Great bike and lots of fun. Show details

Loved it to start with, got one for my wife, then disappointment – I purchased this bike nearly 2 years ago, great, easy to assemble and easy on the aging body. I had clocked up about 1000klm + . All of a sudden… Read more

after 15klm on a ride, it died, the battery was fully charged prior to the ride. Got home and recharged the battery, went for another ride and the same problem. I contacted Leitner and they gave me a list of things to look for and the conditions the bike was ridden under, I provided all the relevant and correct information, and the response I was given, that I would have to buy a new battery. This is a poor option as I am an aged pensioner and can't afford to keep buying batteries every 18 months. I purchased this bike on reliable recommendation from a relative who has had the same bike for 5 + years with no worries. In the end, Leitner agreed to give me a used battery FOC but I pay the postage, now this battery is failing. After doing some research, I find that ebike battery's should last 5 - 8 years depending on use. I don't think that I have over used my battery. I am not convinced that I have been well treated by Leitner, especially after all the referrals that I have give to people who have asked after the bike. Geoff. Geraldton. WA.

Tirols. They have both traversed several thousand kilometers taking us to places we would normally never have gone to and met extraordinary people. We were recently asked whether we would buy the same products again. Our response, "in a heartbeat". If you are in the market for a foldup E-Bike, don't hesitate. A Leitner will not disappoint.

It's been amazing! The ride is smooth and responsive, perfect for both trails and city roads. The build feels solid and durable, and the design is sleek and eye catching. It handles hills and rough terrain effortlessly, making every ride enjoyable.

Love my new ebike from Leitner. I was impressed by the prompt answers to my queries via email. The bike arrived in 2 days! Impressive as it is nearly 3000km from my place! It is so much fun, and so well made.

The saddle is extremely uncomfortable. Worse for lack of suspension. Apart from that it's a great little bike. Does everything I need locally.

Value for price – This article is not in any way to be taken as a promotion for Leitner, neither is it to recommend or condemn Leitner electric bikes, but rather a… Read more

review of what I see as the pros &cons of these machines. The Ultimate range of bikes come in three styles, Step-though, Semi Step-through and Step-over. They are driven by a 250W motor in the rear wheel coupled to a 10 aH, 36 V Samsung lithium battery mounted internally within the frame. There are 5 power settings available from the selector on the handlebars. The 7 speed Shimano Tourney gears with a single chain ring is fine when you have power to assist. They run 700c wheels fitted with Tecktro disc brakes. The biggest ‘pro’ by far is the cost! At around $1500, it is far below the mean for comparable bikes. At 17kg, weight is also a plus (especially when it requires lifting onto a car rack). Cons are, it comes in a box and needs assembly (not difficult) and it does not have mounting for water bottles, pumps etc. The Tecktro brakes, although efficient can be very noisy. The worst problem is the supplied controller/readout is FAR TOO SMALL TO BE USED EFFICIENTLY. However, for around $100, a much larger unit can be purchased from Leitner that we have all found to be highly beneficial, even close to mandatory. In summary, these cycles are good value for money, but like all things you get the components that you pay for. I am sure that you can find brilliant e-bikes with top equipment fitted if you want to pay for it, but for the price these bikes I find are satisfactory for Cynthia and my use. Dave

Husband and I recently changed from Berlin Cruisers to Ultimates for a few reasons, namely weight of bike, step thru and ease of steering. We had an… Read more

issue with one bike during assembly and the Leitner staff were most helpful. Whilst I love the Ultimate because it's lightweight and steers much more smoothly than the Berlin, I have one major criticism. The pedal assist speeds are inconsistent, particularly when I compare with the Berlin. As a previous reviewer has noted, assist 1 and 2 basically give no assist (13-14km/h) whereas assist 3 races (19-20km/h) and assist 4 sits on 24km/h. I haven't even tried going to 5. I loved the Berlin on assist 3 - it maintained speeds between 16-18km/h which I found comfortable especially on dirt tracks around our area. It appears the Ultimate assist levels do not even have the range 16-18km/h. If this is a known problem, I'd like Leitner to perhaps reassess the controller they supply.

shops, etc. Also I want to mention the service desk at the company: I managed to topple over on a gravel path and damaged the brake lever. I phoned Leitner and they were amazing, helping me with a replacement and advice.
