low across Australia to find a remaining one of these superseded models. Absolutely amazing little welder for the price! I would not have the new model for no other reason than the very loud fan that runs full noise for at least 5 full minutes every time it strikes an arc irrelevant of temperature. Very annoying in a quiet workplace like a home workshop. I actually bought the new model and returned it in disgust, It totally contradicts the advertised “smart fan” feature that Unimig advertises with the new model. What a shame. If you can find the KUM-M-RTIG200ACDC buy it and dont sell it! I Awesome welders so much better than the new model in my opinion.

great welder – Purchased this unit as a work item needed for welding RSJ and fence posts. It totally out performed my old welder and lays great welds using fluxcore wire. Great price, great unit, thoroughly recommend this product. Show details

I know my mig is no longer available but it is still going strong. I am using it in an all steel extension of my mancave. Working up at 3 meter heights is no problem. Love my unimig. Show details

Bucket of crap. Been back to Unimig 2 times and they say there is nothing wrong. Cuts out when you arc the wire, need to turn off and reset. Then same thing happens. Nothing but problems from day 1, other brands must be better Show details

a whole new lead then the gas line blew. Spent all that money and did about an inch of welding with it. Customer service fro. Unimig was absolutely appalling.
Handyman welder of 50 years experience Stick/tig//mig & Oxy /aceteylene – Welder is very compact, light and runs very smoothly. It is a joy to use, has plenty of grunt. Leads were of a better quality than I expected Show details
Plasma Razorcut 45 V2 – The Razor cut 45 is excellent machine easy to use cuts very clean .The only problem I have is the stores do not stock contact cutting tips, sheild cap body and sheild cap.Your have to order it in. Show details

Cannot go past this for Aluminium MIG welding – I mainly MIG weld aluminium. This is the best aluminium MIG welder I have ever used. This is my 2nd dual pulse welder and I can tell you I wasted 3… Read more
years on a SWS brand, the Unimig is immediately better, it's like night and day. I'm not saying there aren't other good welders out there but it's an expensive trial and error process. There is a good reason why you see Unimig in most fab shops you walk into. I've done a little steel with this welder, it's good for sure but its aluminium work is a standout.
Amazing machine – I have had this welder for some time now and it just never stops, it replaced a little compact 180 unimig that still runs after 25 years. Love these machines Show details
A great little piece of welding equipment – The light weight, ease of use, and 10 amp plug makes this a great unit for light structural stick welding and a very useful addition to my welding inventory. Show details
Not Suitable For Professional Use – I’ve been in the metal trades since the mid-90s and used every brand of professional welder available. I recently started with a company who have a… Read more
small fabrication department used to support their main business and equipped their workshop with Unimig welders. This was my first exposure to Unimig and a disappointing one at that. The main issue is the welders don’t have any way to adjust burnback, which is an absolute essential control used to prevent the wire becoming stuck in the weld upon finishing and setting wire stick-out for starting the next weld. Every welder I’ve ever used prior to Unimig had a simple dial to set burnback to the users liking. I’ve been in contact with Unimig customer support who confirmed their newer welders do not have burnback control. Consequently, excessive wire stick-out needs to be clipped before starting the next weld, which is time consuming and annoying. The deletion of a burnback control is blatant “corner cutting” and raises concerns over what other corners have been cut on the welder’s internals? Compared to the professional welders I'm used to, Unimig is a budget Chinese machine suitable for DIY use only.
Great Plasma Cutter with internal air compressor – This little Unimig plasma cutter is so simple to use and for me the best selling point is that it has an internal air compressor. So just plug in,… Read more
turn on and cut. Don't need to have a workshop air compressor. And well done Unimig on the new trigger design. I hated other trigger safety covers as they always get in the way. Unimig trigger on the gun is much more user friendly with a push and slide down button safety feature.
Update 03/2024 I dropped to 3 star as one of the capacitors on the circuit board had a dry soldered joint that was arcing bad. I re soldered the joint myself as I couldn't be bothered with warranty waiting times as I live out bush and needed to use it.
Thanks for the review!
