worthwhile to support them and to support your pet. Their services and love for pets are incredible. Truly worth visiting them and truly they are genuine people. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a pet clinic and store. Our dog Clifford has been treated well and he is out of ear infection in one week. Many clinics I had to visit and they are hungry for money but the treatment was not adequate. I really love to encourage them to keep the same standards and love for people and for pets.

Very disappointed with my recent experience at Greencross Vets Carrara. When I booked my dog’s appointment over the phone, I clearly stated multiple… Read more

times that the appointment was for the annual tick injection only. I also explained that my dog already uses Advocate spot-on treatment because he cannot tolerate tablets, and this already covers heartworm prevention.

During the booking call, the yearly heartworm injection was briefly mentioned, but I did not agree to it and reiterated that I only wanted the tick injection.

As I work night shifts, my partner brought my dog to the appointment for me. My dog was then given a yearly heartworm injection anyway, without my consent. I have since confirmed with my partner that nobody discussed this additional treatment with him or asked for approval before administering it.

I have now been charged for a treatment I did not authorise, my dog was unnecessarily subjected to two injections instead of one, and I still need to continue using Advocate regardless because it covers the intestinal worms he still requires protection for.

What upset me most was feeling completely unheard throughout the process. At no stage did anyone contact me to clarify anything despite my instructions being clear during the booking call.

I would strongly encourage clearer communication and proper consent processes moving forward.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Dr Shanon. I highly recommend Perth Vet Care. We had our 20 year old cat Alistair euthanised at home… Read more

recently. Dr Shanon took such an interest in Ali’s story and our kitty warmed to him straight away. It made what could’ve been a very traumatic task a very simple, peaceful and positive one. It was a very respectful and dignified way to say good-bye to our only pet of 20 years. He simply went to sleep doing what he loved more than anything - eating his Beef Mince Whiskas.

I supervised the euthanasia of an 18 year old Lab. I would give the vet, Winnie 10 stars. She above and beyond. The cremation truck didn’t turn up, so Winnie took the body to her own home for pick up. They deserve - 10 stars.

You won't find better – You won't find better care for your fur baby than the team at Greystanes Vet. Our rescue Staffy is a highly anxious boy yet the entire team manage him beautifully. He doesn't even register when he has had his vaccination.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. We brought our cat to Animal Referral Hospital during an emergency expecting urgent care, answers, and competent… Read more

veterinary treatment. Instead, we were met with uncertainty, constant pressure for more expensive procedures, and a bill of almost $3000 without anyone being able to tell us what was actually wrong with him.

The treating vets repeatedly pushed antivenom despite being unable to confirm a snake bite and without providing us with any clear diagnosis. We felt as though every conversation was centred around the next charge rather than proper assessment of our animal.

Thankfully, we trusted our instincts and sought a second opinion elsewhere.

Within a short assessment, another veterinarian was able to determine that our cat had suffered an insect bite — not snake envenomation — and advised that the antivenom Animal Referral Hospital was pushing was unnecessary and could have caused further complications. Our cat was treated appropriately with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication and was sent home.

To spend thousands of dollars at an emergency referral hospital and leave with no diagnosis, no answers, and recommendations for treatment that were later found to be unnecessary is beyond unacceptable.

After reading through many other customer experiences, it is deeply concerning to see a repeated pattern of owners reporting excessive charges, poor communication, lack of diagnosis, and feeling pressured into costly treatment plans. (ProductReview.com.au)

This hospital appears far more focused on extracting money from distressed pet owners than providing clear, competent and ethical veterinary care.

We left feeling taken advantage of, financially exploited, and terrified that had we agreed to everything being pushed on us, our cat may have been subjected to unnecessary and harmful treatment.

I would never return and would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any major treatment recommendations from this hospital.

small animal. She took time and was patient and helped my daughter’s little guinea pig feel better. I honestly thought we would have to put him down, but she has given him every chance possible. Mollie gave us great advice and medication to look after him. I was able to take him home and tell my daughter that he will be OK. That was most important. A million thanks.

desexing.

Even though I now live almost three hours away, I did not hesitate to contact Dr Phan, as I know he is among the very best in his field.

I have known Dr Phan for many years, and he has provided exceptional care for all my beloved four-legged companions: Ania, my Kerry Blue Terrier; Mikkie-Lyon, my Wire-Haired Fox Terrier; and Clément, my beautiful Airedale Terrier.

From the moment I called, his genuine warmth and willingness to help were evident. That level of care and attentiveness has always been consistent over the years.

Despite moving from inner Melbourne to regional Victoria, I have chosen to continue using their services. My dog is not just a pet—he is my family and my best friend.

Dr Phan possesses qualities that are increasingly rare: he is ethical, compassionate, and truly sees each animal as a member of someone’s family. His pricing is also very fair, and he shows genuine consideration for pensioners and those who may be struggling, ensuring their beloved companions still receive the care they deserve.

What stands out most is his approach—he does not rush into surgery unless it is absolutely necessary, unlike others who may proceed without fully exploring all options first. That level of integrity speaks volumes.

The service and care provided by the entire team are simply outstanding.

I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. The care they provide means everything to me, especially as I live alone here in Australia.

Thank you, Dr Phan and team VetCare Hawthorn. Without your understanding and compassion, I would not have the comfort of having my dear companions by my side in the way that I do.

I would also encourage anyone who has experienced such dedicated and exceptional service from Dr Phan and his team to share their experience on ProductReview.com.au. Supporting them helps ensure that this wonderful level of care continues for many years to come.

Kindest of Regards Jean-Claude de Shablé

an emergency vet he stopped breathing. Attempted to give IV fluids however they could not find a vein because of his low blood pressure and just put it under the skin and then did not tell me they could not find the vein and instead said how they put it in some lump no clue what that means as there was no lump. They then wanted to run an MRI, ultra sound and x ray for well over 2.5k and keep my cat over night so they could charge me even more. I took him to an emergency vet hospital and they did an ultra sound for 150 finding no internal bleeding, but he has a bruised lung and I think the antibiotic they gave him caused an allergic reaction as he was struggling to breathe. I think he would have had a better chance to live if I did not take him to these pet hating people and just attempted to do first aid myself. Horrible vet do not take your pet to them if you love them or if you like having money, these people will drain your account to the best of their ability.

Over the Top Fees – Have been attending this clinic with my girl since puppy school - unfortunately I have seen quite a change in the service provided in the past year… Read more

or so - of late the cost of medications has increased weekly (up to 50%) one week I paid $65 the next week meds increased to $103 (for the exact same meds) was told due to suppliers increase). But have been able to get the same medication for a month supply (not just a weekly supply which I was getting from FVC) for$80…. recently have also been charged for telephone appointments for suggestions of medications that I have made over the phone to the vets that just needed approval that also cost $100 (this has happened on several occasions). The fees are way too over the top and I’m being charged for the suggestions I am making also! Not good enough. Very disappointing since Lucy has left practice.

me think it was worse than it was and wanted me to hospitalise her when this was entirely unnecessary. He was clearly after the money and was incompetent to boot! Getting any information about her likely prognosis was like drawing teeth. Her blood test results were good but he left it up to me to discover this because I had to ask him what normal range was and I had to say. So, her result was actually very good? Yes? He pretended that her level could drop dramatically at any time. I have more than 40 yrs experience taking dogs to vets and I have never before met a vet that didn't immediately love my dogs.

If your cat is stressed about Vet visits, no problem with Gloria. She can calm any cat down with her touch. I now have a little 2-year-old boy who sees her. I refuse to see anyone else. HIGHLY recommend UPDATE

Gloria has now passed away. I'm not sure if they're still open

rides. Therefore, we have to find s vet who can come to us. How lucky we were to have found Wey, from Little Paws, who came to us and checked our dog out. She was so caring, thorough and patient, explained all the options for treating arthritis on dogs. Finally, we opted for the injections, one a week for 4 weeks. After the 2nd injection, Wey gave us a call to check how our dog was doing. After learning that our dog actually had his another seizure before the second injection, Wey did a telephone consult and dropped off the medication for us. Pricing was very affordable too! Our dog has improved a lot since the second injection. Thank you so much Wey!

19-year-old cat leave her physical, Dr Harry was professional, caring, emotional right along with us as he had given us an extra year and a half with our girl. Moving forward about six weeks ago we where adopted by a beautiful baby kitten that was in a quite a bad state, the owners didn't tell the truth about her age and said she was two weeks older than she was, making her just on two weeks when we got her ( way too young to be away from Mum ) and Dr Harry came around to make sure she was okay, gave her life-saving antibodies as she was taken from her mum so young, we just had her second inoculations yesterday and again our cat just loves him. Definitely has a way with animals and fantastic with family. I would not trust my animals with anyone else. If you're looking for a fantastic veterinarian with a beautiful heart you have found one in Doctor Harry!!

not phoned it would cost $235 consultation. Now this is poor, if you are open for emergency and very high if it a emergency fee and also there is a sign that says free consultations.... I told them my dog was a Shar Pei and they were afraid he was aggressive... any dog can be aggressive rash judgements doesn't help anyone. The vet checked him over and said he had a twisted stomach and they can't do the surgery at this clinic because they need more people and it would cost $10,000 minimum - i looked up other pricing which was maximum of $7,500. The pricing just seemed said to scare us off. We decided in the end that we can't afford the $10k and the quality of life for a almost 10 year old dog wouldn't be as good, and put him down. The vet gave my dog fluids that cost $112 which he didn't use it all and methadone for pain, cost $49.16 ( he was still in pain) when we went in to see him off. We opted to have pets at peace to take him. I rung to check the following day if he had be picked up knowing that pets at peace pick-up quickly... he was still there and the staff mislead me... Today I went to pick up my dogs urn and was treated rudely because I walked in the vets the door was open... if you dont want people in the vets then put something in the doorway. The lady that came out to serve me couldn't understand me and I had to repeat myself.. Also your parking is non-existent. I can think of no reason to recommend vet.
