My baby had severe constipation for first 3 weeks of life and we tried NaN supreme then Aptamil Colic and Constipation. That didn't help, so we went to a pead, and he put her straight on pepti junor. Now she is gassy, super bad reflux, spews, chokes. I used thickner that didn't help and now she is on losec for reflux. Seems to be alot more issues with the pepti junor, is there another formula you could recommend ?
Hi there, my baby was on aptamil gold for the first 3 weeks. We changed to a cheaper brand for 2 weeks and noticed eczema appearing in his face. Has anyone else found this formula helpful in reducing eczema?
Hi Naomi, sounds like your baby might suffer from cow's milk protein allergy, in which case Aptamil Sensitive is not the right choice. Please feel free to contact us directly at the Nutricia Careline to help you further - 1800438500 or live chat from external link
I’ve recently changed to sensitive one ( from a different brand) I’m breastfeeding too.. but he wakes up at night with diarrhoea ? ( 5 months old) do I need to change to the gold one or stay with sensitive… it’s been 2 days
Hi Viv! Some bubs can experience different temporary symptoms when transitioning to formula, or to a new formula, including looser stools. These symptoms can last up to two weeks. However, for a more individualized understanding of what is going on with your bub and to give you appropriate suggestions I recommend you give us a call on the Careline at 1800 438 500. Kind regards, Sarah :)
What is different between aptamil sensitive infant and aptamil gold+colic& constipation? Is that same ingredients?
Hi, both the Aptamil Colic and Constipation (CC) and the Aptamil Sensitive formulas are all about easy digestion- they are both whey based and partially hydrolised( proteins slightly broken down) to help with this. The CC has the added feature of being mildly thickened to help prevent gulp feeding which can lead to extra wind in the tummy and it also has a lower lactose level to help with colic type symptoms of gas. Please reach out to us on 1800 438 500 if you want to check which option may suit your baby better, thanks Hilary
We recently switched to Aptamil sensitive formula and noticed an increase in vomit since the change. Is this normal?
Hi Tegan, the Aptamil Sensitive formula is great for easy digestion, but it is a very thin formula so if baby has reflux symptoms, this may not be the best option. Please call us on 1800 438 500 so we can have a chat to help you further, thanks Hilary
My 9 week old little one was on nan supreme pro since 1 week old however when she started taking 120ml feeds consistently last week it no longer agreed with her. We switched to aptamil sensitive 4 days ago and have noticed that she is now passing wind a lot and it is very smelly! Is this normal on this formula?
Hi Zoe, thank you for your query. We understand your concern regarding your little one, how tricky! I recommend you give us a call at 1800 438 500 or email us at nutriciacareline@danone.com so we can ask a few more questions about your bub. This will help us provide you with the best recommendation for your little one. Thanks, Daria
Is this formula OK to use for someone who is lactose intolerance
Hi Helena. The Sensitive formula is designed for babies with digestive discomfort. It is easy to digest due to being 100% whey milk protein that has been partially hydrolyzed (broken down) and can sometimes help with the wind. It does contain lactose. If you are specifically after a lactose free formula, then this would be the formula from our range that I would suggest: external link
Hi i started using Aptamil reflux for my baby when he was 3 months old . Now my baby is 9 months old and he vomits whenever he is having this reflux formula. Will this aptamil sensitive helps

My 6 week old has been on aptamil sensitive for 10 days now and since then his poo has turned green with yellow dots and is very smelly. Is this normal. He also seems quiet gassy
Hi Renea, it is not unusual for poos to turn green when babies are on Aptamil Prosyneo Sensitive. Specks or dots are quite common too. Unfortunately, the smell and gas can also occur frequently. However, if your baby is otherwise more settled and doing well on Aptamil Prosyneo Sensitive, then these symptoms are not health concerns. If you would like to discuss this further with one of our dietitians or nutritionists, please call 1800 438 500 or email nutriciacareline@danone.com. Warm regards, Caroline - Careline Nutritionist
Is this formula good for lactose intolerant prem baby
Both the Aptamil Sensitive and Aptamil Gold+ Lactose Intolerance formulas can be used from babies 0-12 months. Always use your babies corrected age if born prem. I would have a conversation with your healthcare professional about your little one's lactose intolerance and run this formula choice by them. You can always also call our careline for support: AUS 1800 438 500 or NZ 0800 438 500. All the best, Laura
My 3 month old was on karicare but had a lot of mucus through her stools so I've moved her onto this. Her farting has been so excessive and the smelly poos OMG, this is not something she's ever had. Not sure if this formula agrees with her.
Hi Sonja, babies that are drinking Aptamil Sensitive can have smelly wind and bowel motions, especially initially. With mucous in your baby's poos though, it could be that she has a cow's milk protein allergy so please call us on 1800 438 500 so we can have a chat with you about options. Kind regards, Hilary
My son has started on Aptamil sensitive at 5ms old (previously EBF) it seems to be suited to him and a perfect transition from breastmilk to formula. Is there any reason to change formula? Can he stay on this or should we try to introduce another product eg. aptamil gold? I only ask as it say to use during “sensitive stages” which implies it’s not ideal to be used all the time? TIA
I’ve been using a few different formulas with bub. Nan, karicare, novalac reflux & now aptamil sensitive. We thought he had reflux, but he’s not in any discomfort with the few vomits he has. The reflux formula made him constipated, so we turned to the sensitive formula. We were also recommended the aptamil thickener - but that seems to be causing constipation. Will the sensitive formula on its own be ok for his belly & spit ups?
Hi Jessica, please call us at the Nutricia Careline 1800438500 to discuss what products are going to be best for you baby. Cheers Sue Careline Nutritionist
Hi, my 6 week old has been on Aptamil sensitive, for approx 4 weeks now, and over the last few days has started getting a red pimply rash, does anyone know would this be the formula or something else?.
Hi Tyler, a red pimply rash can be hormonal even if your baby is only drinking formula. A rash or eczema can sometimes be a result of an allergy to milk protein but usually, there are other symptoms present. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact one of our dietitians or nutritionists at Careline at 1800 438 500 or email nutriciacareline@danone.com. Warm regards, Caroline - Careline nutritionist.
Hi there, my baby is now 6 weeks old, we were feeding him gold + in the first two weeks but his poo were seedy and he had a lot pain passing. Then we have been on Aptmil senstive for the last four weeks now, everything seems good, still a bit upset when pooing and passing the gas but overall, he is drinking the formula no prob, poo colour looks good/normal and he's gaining weight. However, he gets the hiccups after each feeds (not during the feed), and a little overflow after the feed but soon it stops, however if we feed him the normal doseage according to his weeks, he will need a long period of burping which is very time-consuming. But if we feed him a lesser amount, he seems to settle a bit better. I was wondering if we need to change the formula to the standard one which is the gold + as I was thinking he maybe is able to settle better with the thicker formula now? Your advise please?
Hi Michelle, It would be best for you to contact us at the Nutricia Careline ph 1800438500 so we can talk further about volumes and the best product for your baby's needs. Cheers Sue Careline Nutritionist

Hi Sharni, You could try it but you may not have anymore sucess if baby is reluctant to take formula. It would be best to contact us to talk further on options and tips on how to get baby to take a bottle 1800438500 Cheers Sue.
My baby has been on Aptamil sensitive for over a week now after changing from Karicare due to struggling with not passing gas and a bit of constipation. The results were promising but he still has very smelly runny poos 3 times a day, has very smelly gas and has now developed a red rash on his cheeks. I’m unsure if this is a bad reaction to this formula? Please help!
Hi Kayla, thanks for reaching out to us. We can certainly help you with that query but need some more information first eg how old is baby, how long has baby been on formula etc. It may be easier to chat so call us on 1800 438 500, kind regards, Hilary
My almost 9 week old has been on Aptamil gold for two weeks and took to the transition from breastfeed really well. Started noticing she was suffering with wind the last few days interrupting her sleep and putting her out. I changed to Aptamil sensitive and her poos have been green for 3 days and the wind has gotten so much worse. Please help.
Hi Jodie, thanks for reaching out. The Aptmail Prosyneo Sensitive formula is very well absorbed and digested. This may cause the bowel motions to become green as some bile acids may come through undigested- this is not a concern and may change over time. Please call us on 1800 438 500 if you have more questions about this. Kind regards Hilary
My bub is currently on Aptamil reflux, it has been amazing with his reflux although his poos are very wet and runny. Is this the right formula for bub ? Ive tried so many others but bub either vomits or gets constipated from them
Hi Adriana, you haven't mentioned how long baby has been on the Aptamil Reflux formula but it may take 1-2 weeks for baby to adjust to changes. You may well find that baby's bowel motions "normalise" again after this time. If you are still concerned though, please call us at 1800 438 500 so we can have a chat. Kind regards, Hilary
Hi my 1 month old is currently on aptamil gold plus and is having pain when passing gas he also has reflux… for gas issue we are giving him meds but which reduced the pain but he still wakes up often due to tummy pain when passing gas I found 2 formulas one for reflux and other for colic since my son has both not sure which would be most effective choice.. any direction is appreciated thanks
Hi Samidha, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the Aptamil Colic and Constipation formula will be a better fit for your baby. Please call us on 1800 438 500 so we can chat to you about the benefits of using this product. Kind regards, Hilary
My triplets babies are currently 9 weeks old. They have reflux & colic. Currently on the Aptamil reflux formula. Because the babies are still struggling with colic I’m wondering is it worth switching to the Aptamil-Prosyneo Sensitive Infant Formula? A doctor advised me to considering changing to goats milk formula as it can be more gentle on their tummies. So I was thinking to try the Aptamil-Prosyneo Sensitive Infant Formula and if allowed add feed thickener to it combat the reflux. Advice would be appreciated please.
Hi Lana, congratulations on your triplets! The Prosyneo Sensitive formula is very thin so is not the best option for reflux. We can certainly help you with options that may be better so please call us on 1800 438 500 so we can chat about this- thanks, Hilary
