Baumr-AG 840SX Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 840SX and MOWSFPBMRA203Hi how do I replace the spark plug on my Baumr 840sx mower
HI there To replace the spark plug safely, first turn off the mower and let the engine cool. Always disconnect the spark plug lead before touching anything to avoid accidental starts. Likely, you will use a spark plug socket or wrench to remove the old plug by turning it counter‑clockwise. Fit the new spark plug by threading it in by hand, then tighten gently with the wrench , don’t over‑tighten. Finally, reconnect the spark plug lead back onto the new plug so it’s secure. If you’re unsure at any step, it’s always safest to refer to a trained technician for help. Kind regards , Bianca - Social Media Team
840sx is it 20inch 220cc
Hi , thank you for your question , Yes, the Baumr-AG 840SX is equipped with a 20-inch cutting deck and a powerful 220cc 4-stroke engine. It’s designed for performance and durability, featuring self-propelled operation, a 4-in-1 cutting system, and high-grade steel construction — ideal for tackling tough lawns with ease.
Correct. Great machine.
Hi team. I was just wondering if there was a way to increase the travel speed on the 840sx mower. I feel like I'm walking slow behind it
Hi Lee, Unfortunately, no, the speed is pre-set. The speed of the motor of this unit is set to a factory setting and the motor will try and maintain this speed during operation. For more details, please refer to page 19 of the product manual: external link Regards, Jim
Hey I had my mower for about 3+ years and recently got fuel leaking out through the air filter, I did check and I seen fuel does come through inside the air filter when you press the prime but I didn't think it came out as bad through the air filter. Also it's starting to stop running halfway through cutting my lawn. Any suggestions of what could be the problem.
Sorry mate I would need to see it to have a real answer for you...but take the air filter assembly off and try to see where exactly the fuel is coming from.

Hi all, my 840sx is kaput, for some time it's only been driving the RH wheel, finally I pulled it apart getting the gear box out together with the wheel drive shafts, the left hand rear drive wheel bearing has collapsed and chewed the drive shaft quite bad, the RH wheel bearing is also about to collapse, but no damage yet, emails to Edisons about replacement gear box and bearings have not been returned, so does that mean is it now junk after some 3 years

I have noticed with BAUMR their products are regularly noted for breaking down after 2 - 3 years, which is usually AFTER people have posted reviews. Does BAUMR-840SX have a planned obsolescence of the product of 2 to 3 years OR does it last comparably with say VICTA products?
My last VICTA lasted 18 years. BAUMR lasted 3 years.
Hi J G., We appreciate your feedback and understand your desire for long-lasting equipment. While it's true that some customers have reported issues with their BAUMR products, we assure you that our equipment is designed to last when properly maintained and used within its specified guidelines. Our goal is not to create products with planned obsolescence but rather to provide reliable tools for our customers.
It's important to note that factors such as regular maintenance, proper storage, and adherence to the guidelines outlined in the product manual can significantly impact the longevity of any equipment. Neglecting these practices may lead to premature wear and tear or malfunctions.
We understand that your previous experience with a VICTA product lasted significantly longer, and we strive to meet or exceed those expectations with our products. However, it's essential to recognize that every piece of equipment, regardless of brand, requires diligent care to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
We encourage you to thoroughly read the product manual for your BAUMR-840SX and follow the recommended maintenance procedures. Additionally, if you encounter any issues or have further questions about your product, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team for assistance.

yea I dont know why linking a video on how to change an air filter is gonna help with the rebuilding of the ignition coil. Ive been asking for a diagram to see where the pieces go together and they keep linking me a manual that has nothing to do with it. Eventually I had to ask my ex husband for help and he pieced it together.

Can you slow done the mower? I only have to touch bar and it takes off at full speed.
Yes.. clearly yours is faulty like mine was
Hi Greg P. A common misconception is that the throttle lever works to adjust the revs of the engine. This is not the case. The lever is simply used to turn the engine ON/OFF. Please see the videos in the links below for further clarification.

how much oil does a massport x840 does it hold
Hi there, Refill with 500ml SAE30 oil or equivalent i.e. SAE5W/30, SAE10W/30. When the dipstick is rested on the filler pipe (i.e. not turn in pace), the oil level must be between the min and H marks on the dipstick.
You may check the product manual below and see page 13 and 14.

Hope this helps.
