Hello... and help! I washed a hoodie and two robes on the 30° Easy Care cycle and now, after that cycle finished... the machine won't work.

I unloaded etc, everything was fine but when I put more garments in (track pants, jumper, scarf to be washed on 30min cold cycle), once I shut the door it locked and now the machine doesn't switch on, the display doesn't come up. I have unplugged and let it rest/reset itself.

It is making those noises that indicate something is happening.

I also used half a cup of Radiant washing liquid and half a cup of fabric softener and added half a cup of Dettol sanitiser (to the conditioner drawer).

Please help. I am at a friend's place.

When power is on hold down the child lock button it looks like a spanner on our machine

Hi Jim... thank you for replying. Problem is no lights come on.

Please try the following steps: Unplug the machine from the wall socket. Leave it unplugged for at least 10–15 minutes to allow a full reset. While unplugged, open the detergent drawer and leave the door ajar to allow ventilation.

After 15 minutes, plug the machine back in and press and hold the Power button for 5–10 seconds.

If the display comes back, select a short rinse cycle to flush any leftover detergent.

If the machine still does not turn on or the display remains off, it may require a professional inspection — possibly related to the control board or moisture damage.

Please let us know how it goes.

There is a way of producing a spin only cycle. Choose Rinse/Spin from the rotary dial then turn off the water/rinse button (second from the right). Should reduce the total time to around 12 mins.

Why is the recommended weight for delicates so low - 2 kg. The machine is so big; what will happen if I put more than 2kg in on that cycle.

We were told by the Bosch technician that our machine was made in China; and had been fitted the incorrect pump valve part - it has a flap instead of an eco-ball (If its a Bosch machine, why should it matter if its not made in Germany, apparently it does!). You are also limited in the amount you can put into most cycles except the 'mix', 'cotton' and 'easy care', pay attention to the manual, which describes the maximum weight per load type. This seems to be counter to the purpose of it being a '10KG' machine.

Hi,

I have purchased this washing machine and really trusted Bosch as a brand. Unfortunately I have realised by time that the machine does not foam up if there is more clothes than half way up. This is a 9kg washing machine and it is very disappointing to not be able to wash with a full machine of clothes. I’ve tried full but doesn’t wash well. The water usage is so minimum that you feel like you are watching it wash without water. Sad to say but I wish I hadn’t brought this machine. Is there anyway to increase the foaming as I fell it does not wash well enough just seeing it tumble without nearly any water and foam?

Thank you

Can the Bosch 9kg Serie 6 Front load Washing Machine WAP28482AU wash a king size feather doona

When I go through the settings I assume the weight that shows up on the screen is the maximum weight for that particular wash cycle, yet it never goes over 5kg for any of the settings. Where is the wash that will take 9kg? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch WAP28482AU. This model has the Cottons and Kids wear programs that can take the full 9kg of weight. You would have received a program table with your user manual that shows the details of each of the different programs. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Hey, I had the same question and was just doubling checking if I've even received the correct model. In order to reach the 9kg you have to deselect the "Speed" mode. Once you select Eco or Normal it shows 9kg on the Cotton and Cotton + Prewash program but the washing will take 2h48min. or 3h16min in the Eco mode. On the program with the prewash it's even longer. (there is no Kids program?)...at least not that I know of and these are the only two modes accepting 9kg. :) ps. before using the new machine for the first time, the AU model should be run twice on the Cotton 90degree program (empty, only 1L of water and some detergent in loading compartment II) I had trouble not getting foaming, following the manual. I was fine with using about 1/4 of the recommended amount of powder detergent. (my Bosisto's Liquid detergent also over-foamed at 1/4 of the recommended amount)...I haven't noticed the foam sensor going off though...

When I set the machine to 'MIX' the temperature sets at 40 and the time 45 minutes but. the time is much, much longer. I keep going in and checking to see if the wash has finished and the timer might say 20 minutes, then 8 minutes and then back to 23 minutes! This is even after it has been going for over an hour. It has taken me 7 hours to get 3 loads of washing done. This machine was bought on 30/04/2020. How can I get a quick wash please? Thanks Jen.

Hi Jen, Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch WAP28482AU. As the appliance uses sensors the time indicator changing is normal. For the quickest cycle you can choose the Super Quick cycle and remove the extra rinse option and add the speed perfect option. This reduces the weight allowance so please keep this in mind. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
