What is the level of the washing when filling machine
my bosch wak24160au-03 front loader has almost dry clothes for at least 15 minutes, then they get more water is that normal.
Hi, I moved house recently and surprisingly Why is there no water coming into my Bosch washing machine?
The water level through all the cycles are very low. Understanding the water preservation feature, this does seem to not rinse the load properly. I have used less detergent, but the strong soapy smell persists. Can the water level be adjusted, or which cycle setting will provide a better rinse option?

I can't see the water level in the Bosch series 2 washing machine. The quality of wash is also poor. What do you think is wrong? I've tried the 30 min , 40, 60 cleaning options with less than 3kg.
Hi Joy, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAK24160AU. Not seeing the water through the door is not uncommon for these appliance due to how water efficient they are. We would recommend trying a different or more washing detergent for the quality of the wash. If this doesn't work, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
I have Bosch WAY32540AU - wash level is very low - how do In adjust water level?
When you say wash level is very low do you mean that the clothes does not come out as clean? or do you mean that load is low and you wish to save water and reduce the water level in the machine to save water? Bosch washer has an auto load detector to adjust the water level to your load, that is why it has a 5 star water consumption rating. Plus you will not find a button to adjust water due to the auto load detector sensor, as it is deem unnecessary. If you mean that the clothes are not clean, please refer to your manual, as some of the mix wash, dark wash, sports wash has a maximum load of 3-4kg not the full load of the cotton wash cycle.
Thanks - I may not have a level problem after-all - but am suspicious that water level is too low - wash water just reaches the glass door - should level be higher? - wash seems OK
The Bosch front loading washing machines are very reliable but some models may not provide enough water (this is also relevant for other washing machine brand) in the drum to ensure your clothes are thoroughly washed. No matter what you are told there is basically two things that ensure that your clothes are effectively cleaned (providing you are using a quality detergent, AND A MINIMAL AMOUNT PER WASH) and that is 1. SUFFICIENT WATER and if your clothes are heavily soiled or have strong body odour in them 2. a WARM or HOT WASH is required. Once the clothes are wet and the drum has stopped you should be able to physically see the water level just reaching above the lower level of the glass door, if you can not see the water then I believe you will not get a good wash. I have been servicing washing machines (as well as doing my own clothes washing!) for over 40 years and have no bias between one brand or the other. I just want to say that I believe the quality of wash will be the best when you have a machine that supplies sufficient water. Do not use rinse aids (or the dryer fluffs) that contain formaldehydes and petro-chemicals, they impregnate your clothes which decreases the fire safety standards and also a make it more difficult for the detergents to do their work of cleaning the clothes. If you wish to have cleaner clothes or ensure your little ones are not wearing chemical filled clothes 24 hours a day, simply add a little more water via the detergent dispenser both for the main wash and the rinse cycle. For cleaner softer clothes and towels, simply Google the use of Bi-carb soda and white vinegar for rinse aids and clothes softening in washing machines. happy washing days! cheers, Gilbert.
Thanks, Gilbert

Can you use this washing machine with cold water?
Well the problem is that the machine change the temperature itself and you don't have any control on it.
Thank you for your reply. I think it's rather strange that you can't use cold water only.
there are different washing cycles on control with different temperature. I found the long wash always has 40 or 60 degrees as the short cycles 15 / 30 minutes just involves cold water. Hope this answered your question. :)
Yes, than you.
My whites are not white anymore. . I have tried a variety of settings and also do an extra rinse at the end of every wash. I'm seriously not happy with this machine and wouldn't recommend it to anyone

I have just bought the Wak24160 I think the manual is a little hard to understand, I don't know how to set the 15 minuet short wash. Looking at the display panel it says 15/30 so when you turn the knob its pointing to Allergy Plus 60 is this the right one? I think you should have just listed the short wash in one of the program selections.
Thank you
Malcolm
Yes - Mr Ross James - I am not Malcolm - I am Isaac who left the Review of the Bosch washing m/c - well, there is a slight OVERLAP of the Bosch washing m/c SETTINGS - so, if you set your Bosch m/c on 15/30 - it means 15/30 - that is a setting of 15 minutes ... so as I have said the m/c setting slightly overlaps with the Allergy Plus 60 setting - if you continue round the settings - you will again note other overlaps of settings - the electronic Time Display shd show you the setting of 15/30 & NOT Allergy Plus 60 - plz go by the electronic display on your Bosch - it will satisfy you with the right setting you want - you need not worry about what the knob is pointing towards - go by the electronic display - and switch on the m/c ... I hope my explanation will help you operate your Bosch m/c ...
For the quick wash you turn the knob one notch to the left (Super 15/30 - Cold). If you want it to wash for 15 minutes you leave it at that setting and press start, if you want it to wash for 30 minutes then press the Speed Perfect button and it will display a 30 minute wash cycle.
Our washing machine vibrates so badly during the spin cycle that the whole house vibrates and our ducted air conditioning fittings in the ceiling have come loose. We have spent many hours ensuring that our machine is level and cannot solve the problem. The machine does not move around it just vibrates - sounds like a helicopter hovering over our house, it is incredibly loud. Our house has a mezzanine floor covered with a laminated floating floor. Can you help? I have rung Boche and left a message but am still waiting for a reply.
Hello Dear Mr. Petwen - I have noted your problem with your washing machine - I can suggest you ONE TRICK to avoid your Bosch rattling & vibrating so much - here is what you can do about it ... Use CARDBOARD - you can get this cardboard from any packaging material or if not , get a CARDBOARD BOX from Australia Post shop , cut the cardboard box & fold the cardboard pieces 3-4 times over & make it AS "A PACK" - Now plz get help from somebody at home who is strong & sturdy by build & ask this person TO NOW PICK UP THE BOSCH WASHING MACHINE & THEN YOU CAN MOVE & INSERT THE FOLDED CARDBOARD "PACK" UNDER ALL ITS 4 CORNER "PROPS" ( that is on the 4 points on which the machine 'stands' ) ... & well that's it !!! This PACK will now absorb the vibrations of the machine & stop rattling or rumbling - however, you will need to straighten the packs in place from time to time - as it will most likely move the packs from below the four corner props due to constant vibrations & the rattling ... so try this out - I use this IDEA & TRICK MYSELF FOR MY HEAVY WASHING MACHINE !!!
I had the same problem. I rang the customer service line and was asked if I had removed the drum transport bolts.? No I hadn't! After doing that and also removed the plastic sleeve bits. It's been great! Quiet and no dancing around the laundry floor!!
We had removed the drum transport bolts and also the plastic sleeve bits before we used the machine. We are now using the delicate's load only and this has worked so far. We are going to move the machine downstairs where we have a concrete floor and it won't be able to shake the house. Boche were no help at all. After 3 weeks they still have not replied to the message I left after trying to call the support centre.
Hi my bosch washing machine dosent seem to spin verg quickly on any setting and the clothes are still wet on completion of the cycle am i doing something wrong ? Thanks mike

Hi, you may check with Official Bosch guys or user manual. Mine just occasionally stopped (looks like completion, without error indication) with half full of water in drum when I thought cycle is completed and opened the door with water flushing down.

Hi, Could you tell me what the different wash cycle durations are?
It all dependss on what washing you are doing, e.g. I usually wash cottons on a cycle that takes 1hr, you have options of quick wash, silk, woolls, delicates, so it can range from 30mins to 2hrs, your chice of washing cycles.
Which country is the model Bosch WAK24160AU washing machine made and built in?
I believe it's German engineered but built in India.
Does this machine beep constantly when it's finished a load until you turn it off?
Hi Washing Queen, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAK24160AU Washing Machine. You're able to adjust the volume setting on your washing machine for end signal and button signal. Please refer to your manual on page 22.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further.

It beeps 3 times in quick succession about every 30 secs for quite some time. It does eventually stop without you having to turn the machine off. But you can alter the volume of the beep and there is a way to mute it. (I get the kids to turn it off because I do like to know when it's finished but the constant beeping drives me mad).
is there any short cycle on this machine other than what you get when pressing the SpeedPerfect button??
Hi Joski999, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAK24160AU Washing machine. The short cycles on these models are the Super 13' and Super 30'. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further.

Can someone tell me how long the cotton 40 cycle takes?
Most washes take around 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, once you select a programme the time is displayed
Hi Soogs, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAK24160AU Washing Machine. As an indicator the Cottons 60 is 1 hour and 57 minutes in length, the cottons 40 will be slightly shorter than that.
