Hi there. I am using my Bosch washing machine to wash all my clothes at 60 degrees celcius as I have a moth infestation. As it has taken me about 16 hours to do this, I am terrified that the water won’t be hot enough to kill any of the larvae. Can you tell me if the Bosch washing machine heats its own water to the selected temperature or does it use the temperature the house water is set at ( ours is 50 degrees so not hot enough, thus want to check the washing machine will reach above this) Many thanks.
Howdy. I'm not a representative of Bosch. I'd suggest you contact a retailer that sells these machines. In general, most front loaders have their own heaters to heat the machine to the right temperature you set.

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your question. Our washing machine has an inbuilt heating element that heats up the water to whatever it has been set to. I have a Bosch washing machine and when on the sportswear cycle it doesn’t show washing liquid lit up. Also I don’t seem to see many soap suds during any of the loads.
Hi Carol H Cherrybrook, Thank you for your question. There could be a few reasons why you're not seeing suds. For example, the machine may not be taking the detergent. If this is the case, it could be the result of low water pressure. Approximately 10 litres of water per minute should flow out of the tap when fully open, so you may want to double check your water supply. Another reason could be the nozzles in the detergent drawer are blocked, preventing the detergent to get into the drum. If this is the case, then it's a simple fix. Just follow the below 'step by step' guide on how to clean the detergent drawer on your appliance and it should rectify the issue. • STEP1: Remove the detergent drawer from the washing machine by operating the middle lock and sliding it out. • STEP2: Allow the detergent drawer to soak in a wash basin and remove any stubborn residues with a cleaning cloth or small brush such as a toothbrush. •STEP3: Dry the detergent drawer thoroughly and slide the detergent drawer back into the housing. hi, my bosch front loader has water pouring out of the front filter even when filling for a wash cycle. It has flooded my laundry and has not appeared to wash the clothes properly...which makes sense if it immediately loses all the water. Is one of the drums cracked? If a hose was blocked surely the water leakage would only occur when water is draining not filling.

Don't worry I have bought a new machine. Have seen some pretty poor reviews of Bosch and your company so have gone with another brand. It should have lasted longer then 4 years. Very disappointed
The washing machine starts for about 20 seconds (can hear water coming in) then stops. The pause/start light in solid not flashing mode what is the problem? thanks Lisa
It seems like there’s a leak. Did you move the washing machine? We pierced the outer drum with the moving screws and it operated the way you described. A technician inserted silicon where it was punctured and it has worked ever since.
Otherwise, if something like a coin gets in between the inner and outer drums then it can crack the outer and cause a leak. It’s new washing machine time if that happens.

Hi, our bosche serie 4 front loader doesn’t have temperatures on any of the settings. Like other writers, I am not sure whether I can wash certain clothes in any of the cycles. Which ones are suitable for delicates that require washing in COLD WATER? Thanks.

How to select hot water cycle programme on machine
Unfortunately Bosch failed to supply any paperwork, manual or anything on our new washer. The only thing inside was water and lots of wear marks. Be very wary of old machines being sold as new.

Bosch moved to cold water inlet only in their models Aquascure water inlets years ago. The manual confirms this. They use the heating element in the washing machine to precisely heat the water to the required temperature, as the hot water inlets are variable in temperature and often take a while to heat up.

If connected to hot water it could cause damage to garments which are not colour fast or could shrink depending on the water temperature. Choosing cold water however inside was very hot.
Water supply is connected to a water hose.
In gentle mode can wash at 30 degrees. In other modes, the inside of the washing machine is hot and the drainage is very hot.
I wanted just washing with just water!
What is the problem?

It is connected to the cold only. But at the cold setting it washes hot.
Is there a way to reset the system?
Sorry we miss-understood the information supplied. If the appliance is heating the water even though cold is selected a service call would be recommended. Please contact us if you need help arranging this or if the appliance is still under its 2 year warranty.
