Cybex Priam Questions

I have a 2020 cybex Priam. The overall look and smooth control of the pram is amazing, however I was really disappointed with the 4 point harness. By the time I figure out how to put the 2 pieces together in the correct place my daughter is arching her back in impatience, knocking the pieces out of my hands and I have to start all over again. It really is unbelievable difficult and I’m finding it hard to believe that only one other person has brushed over this inconvenience in the reviews??? Can I replace the harness with a better one? This is a dealbreaker for me and ruins the whole pram.

Hi Monica, Sorry to hear the 2020 Priam does not meet your expectations. The 5 point Priam AU harness system that the 2017-21 has, was developed to meet Australian Standards and the only type Cybex HQ could produce at the time. There are some simple tricks you can do with this harness to make it easier to put together when you're trying to put a wriggly child in the pram. DM us if you would like a tip for this. However the great thing is these little useability issues have been overridden with the development of the new Priam 2022 which has the new car seat like "One Pull Harness" (https://bit.ly/3Qz8fS6). Hi Guys, I can see that this model is still available at discounted pricing but has been discontinued. Can you please give me some detail as to why it was discontinued.... Was it due to safety standards not being met? Regardless can I please have some information to compare the 2017 with the 2019 /2020 models to help me in my decision. If it’s only aesthetics then that’s ok but if I am putting my baby in any safety risk then I don’t want that. Thank you!

Hi Haah103, The reason it is discounted as there's still quite a bit of stock to clear in Australia of 2017 model and the 2019/20 (19/20 same as each other) which are well in season now. The differences are really only aesthetics as you say with the folding button the main difference apart from colour and style between the two. There is certainly no safety risk and Cybex Priam is still one of the best prams on the market.
