Hi looking at this air con Alira x for my shack with no wifi, can I just use a remote instead of wifi

Does the Alira X come with wifi installed or just the ability to put the wifi adapter inside?

Mine came with Wi-Fi installed. It does come in handy. A bit tricky to set up so get your air on tech to do it.
