DeLonghi Ariadry DDS 25 / DDS 30 Questions & Answers
VerifiedHygrometer shows the wrong percentage
I have brand new product However, it keeps displaying the tank alarm. It's completely empty and I believe I inserted the tank correctly but it still won't work

The pump light keeps on flashing, it’s not the defrost, it’s not the hose connection. My guess is the internal water collection which the pump takes water from is either blocked or the pump is broken. You can hear the water drain from the internal water collector to the second water collector ( main one) when u turn the power off but it won’t pump water anymore it’s the whole reason I brought this device as it’s needed to keep under the house dry in winter.
Ok, I know you will not like this answer, but I think DeLonghi Customer support is probably your best option for this. I googled it: 1800 126 659 or external link Good luck. And you know what, let us know how you went, please
Hi Barb, Thank you for your question. The pump light stays illuminated when it is in pump action. My only advise without speaking to you directly would be to ensure the dehumidifier is set to a low humidity extraction setting - Please set this and ensure its low at around 30% to 40% and please see how it goes.
If you need to speak with us, please call us on 1800 126 659
Thank you

What is the runningcost?
How much does this cost to run?
Look for my review, I gave some guidelines there. When the compressor is on, it uses 500 Watt. But as I said, I have done the calcs, hope you can find my review.
I use my dehumidifier on auto mode most of the time, for some reason the last few days it does not switch off on auto and just keeps running
Hi Ashley, I am trying to understand your problem, but I do not know what you mean with "Auto Mode". Do you mean when you set it to a certain humidity level, that it should turn itself off when that level is reached? If that is the question, then the answer is that the fan still run, even if that humidity level is reached, only the compressor (that is the most energy using part btw) kicks in and out. So the dehumidifier appears to still be running.
It is not easy to know whether the compressor is actually running or not. You can however hear it kick in (and out) when you are standing next to the machine when it happens. I hope that helps.
Btw, this review site here may not be the best place to get technical support for your appliance. DeLonghi's support web site (https://www.delonghi.com/en-au/support) or their support line 1800 126 659 are probably the better choice to find a solution
Is the delonghi DD230P The same as DD30 pump Does the machine auto tun off when the water tank is full .And is it ok for the pump signal to fash
Sharon, They look like awfully close devices. I found a comparison for you here external link Yes, it does turn off when the tank is full. And the flashing pump icon is confusing at some time, I agree. It happens when the machine was just turned on or when the internal auto defrost is running. Since dehumidification via a compressor causes very low temperatures in some parts of the machine, it sometimes does a quick defrost and that is when the pump signal flashes. That's at least my understanding. Good luck with your choice!
Thankyou for getting back to me .
I need to change the bearing of the fan. How do I get to it?
DF error - what does that mean? Thx! Liv
Best to call technical department. I don't know.
where can find a breakdown diagram of all the parts and componants for this model please?
Are you referring to panel description (in instruction manual) or looking to replace some parts? For panel description, you can get it from: external link For parts list, I found this online site below. The numbers in square brackets under Product Name refer to the part number in the PDF diagram
external link
Hope that helps.
Hi The machine is not warming the room it reaches 14degrees celcius But no higher I have cleaned the filter and checked the settings Any suggestions welcome ?
I put tank in after emptying and I think something must have been sticking up because now its stuck and I can't get tank out. Please help.
If it is really stuck, then you must have forgotten to fold down the lift handle properly before pushing the drawer in. It will not come out even if you force it without breaking something. Find a thin stick, or chopstick, pull drawer out slightly, use chopstick to poke in the opening and flip the grab handle back the right way. It’s tricky, but that’s what happened to me too.
It worked! That's exactly what happened. I had lifted the clear plastic lid with the handle to wash inside the tank and I didn't click the lid back on properly so the handle was sticking up. I did what you said and finally managed to get it open. Thank you so much.
Does the unit come with a hose and the screw in pipe to attach a hose to to empty the water? Just purchased one and they are not included
No the bottom part has a pull out tank which collects water and can be pulled out to empty
My DDS30 does not switch off automatically when tray is full so water is going everywhere. What is this issue? Also, can I buy a replacement plastic pump tube fitting?
How do I stop water collecting on the tray at the bottom and wetting my carpet?
How do I stop water collecting on the tray at the bottom and wetting my carpet?
i too would love an answer to this
The water tank should not be filled to the brim. If so, there may be an issue with the float as it should 'stop' the machine operation when it reaches its set level. I suggest contact Delonghi support at external link
I own DES16EW DeLonghi dehumidifier and gets ver hot after 10 min running. It shoes over 30 degree when other rooms are only 25 degree. I wander if this is right, I can’t use it in my bedroom which is small at night?
Hi I have the same one and mine also gets warm to touch. I used my old friends one and hers did not do this. It reads at like 28C when left on and percentage always reads a lot lower than the separate hygrometer I have. I feel that on a humid wet day it actually makes the room feel hotter not cooler because it heats up and the air is warmer than normal that it blows out. I would not feel comfortable to leave on unattended. It also makes gurgling water sounds. I wonder is it faulty. Have no idea really!
Sorry I used my friends old DeLonghi and it did not get hot like this Des16ew machine
hi i want buy a dehumitifier, which on is best 1delonghi dds30 or meaco 25l because the house is 5 bed room and its corner house and lots of windows so pls let me know which one is good thanks vick
Hi Vicki, I have the Delongi Ariadry DDS 25 so I would not be able to give you an opinion on the 2 brands you are asking for:( I do know that you basically have to have a dehumidifier for every room you need to dehumidify. If you have windows, and you get good breezes then just do that. I used the dehumidifier in our bedroom at night and in my husband's study during the day where there is not much breeze comes through.
All the best
Helen
Hi, Product is working well however we can't seem to open the water tank on the machine to empty contents. Can you please advise? It came out easliy when 1st installed (Saturday) and now it appears locked in place. Thanks! Maryanne
The tank is quite "sticky" so what you need to do is crouch down in front of the dehumidifier and put your fingers, both hands, in the slots on the side of the machine (they are actually part of the tank) near the front and evenly jerk it out with some force.
It should free up after usage.
I must say its not as good a tank system as the older models, I do not know why they changed it, perhaps the stylists thought it looked better hidden even though it is a pain to open.
I have the same problem, using it first time and first time removing the tank. I just cannot pull it out!! I sprained my neck. Is there a lock on it or something?!
How to drain the de humidifier?
There is a removable tank at the front of the machine. When the tank is full, just pull it out from the front, then empty it into a sink. The tank has a clear plastic window at the front so you can see how full it is. If the tank gets too full, the machine will stop automatically to prevent overflow. It can fill up in as little as one week depending on the humidity level in your home.
