Hi, my Nespresso machine has started running the water straight into the pod and water compartment (I have seen that someone had that problem and tried running water through many times), but the thing is that it will start to run through the nozzle and then stop and go through the middle into the pods, so I don't think that my nozzle is clogged as the water can come through.

Suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks.

hi - i'm not sure why i'm getting technical questions about the Nespresso machine. I had posted a review of it. I rarely use the machine since we don't drink coffee. I suggest you contact Nespresso directly. When I had a problem with my machine I found them to be excellent.

I had nothing but trouble with this machine including the milk frother as the milk seems to stick in places on the base and is very hard to clean off without using a scourer. With the actual coffee machine the lights would flash off and on, so I would have to turn it off and redo the whole process to reset it. I also had the exact problem you described with the coffee pouring straight through into the drawer. The pods were somehow making the nozzle inside a bit askew and found that putting my hand inside and pushing the nozzle a bit would fix the problem temporarily. I got around this by making sure the coffee pod drawer was empty and clean and if the coffee went into the drawer I could then pour it into my cup so I didn't waste the pod. But seriously, they need to make a better product especially for the price. I have now given up and thrown the whole thing away and bought a Caffitaly system from Woolworths. Best of luck with your Nespresso problems :)

I got the same problem also and contact Nes. for repair. The broken nozzle was the problem. I was lucky that my warranty still ok to go and cost me nothing to fix. If this happen again my solution would be as yours. The machine should not be too expensive as you said because we are contract to Nespresso pods for live time if machine still work fine and I always order it through them because I addicted to the same things lazy to changed too much. Sorry for your loss of trust and agreed with your comment. Hope the new machine is great and more suitable for you. May be will be my pick in the future (after this one).

thanks and Good Luck.

Hi! I just solved my problem.it is a little work but not impossible... You have to remove the front if the machine and inside are 2 strainers that push the water from one to the other to get into the cup. You have to remove the top one, try to run the machine that way, open to can see inside. You will see how the water comes out of the machine. Moved the button put of strainer up and down to be sure that one moves. Put back the top strainer and try again before putting back the front of the machine. If it works ( like mine does) now you ready to put back the last part and enjoy your machine w/o paying anything from pocket to repair it.

Two 1.5mm plastic nibs on the primary spout attached to the machine head have worn out and the part needs replacing. A twenty minute job if you know what you are doing. No screws only a plastic clip holds it in position. Get the video on google

I found the part hard to find on the net. A good engineer can fix it without replacing it.

Mac2014 - You're not going to like this answer, but unless it is under warranty, there is nothing you can do. I was told by Nespresso, to buy another one! I hope for you sake and expense it is still covered by warranty?

Guys Dont let the retailer tell you that 12 months and your warrany is over. Australian Consumer law covers you for the normal life of the product, based upon the quality the product perports to be and price. If you have paid $300 for a Nespresso machine and it is a decent brand (delongi and breville are both decent brands) you can expect it to last more than 12 months. Some retailers are taking liberties with their customers and trying to dodge their responsibilities. I took my sons iPad mini back to the Apple store (i bought it from BigW) for a faulty headphone jack after 18 months and they replaced it on the spot without question, they volunteered the information. Take it back and make your claim under Australian Consumer law.

True. After the Warranty ended what you left is just the heap disappointed and loss trust. But it is 2 years warranty here...are you still can claim under Aust. Consumer Law?

My coffee machine has just started to dispense the water straight into the used pods bin and not out the spout. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Erin
Erin

Yes, this happened to mine - it just needs to be flushed out. Have you been regularly running it through without pods to clean it (I wasn't, hence it got clogged). Just run it through with no pod over and over again (I'm talking 20 times). You will notice the water that is coming out is very mucky. Eventually the water will stop coming out into the drip tray and start coming out the front again. Keep flushing it through until the water comes out clear.
