About half the water leaks from the capsule chamber into the drip tray. The two winglets on the water spout are okay and the the seesawing "drop stop" does its thing to direct the coffee towards the front of the coffee maker. I have descaled the coffee maker a number of times using the Nespresso technic. Either the diffuser (that makes the square pattern of holes on the foil side of the capsule is clogged or maybe the o-ring on the other side of the capsule chamber needs replacing. Does anyone know how to disassemble the brew chamber to access the capsule pod chamber? The instructions on page 36 at external link  are not very clear.

Hi. After disassembling my Nespresson De Longhi machine, when I went to reinsert the main (sliding) switch on the top, the small electronic spring loaded element underneath the switch dropped away. Does anyone know how and where to insert it back thank you?

My machine is a couple of years old now and has never had any issues. Lately however when the milk is heated often leaving burnt milk in the bottom. This is quite hard to remove. Does this sound like a fixable problem or is the machine due for retirement?

You don't. Pop the whole container into the top of the machine with the Lid on

Are the lights flashing? Mine did the same with all the lights flashing. Turned it off at the wall for a little while and when I turned it back on it fixed itself.

What does it mean when the red light on the milk machine flashes?

Apparently it's something to do with overheating.

Coffee drips inside the machine I putted it apart nothing loose what happens is the spout inside withdraws back into the machine and then dispenses inside , can't see anything broken any idea what cause this? cheers

The outlet spout is articulated so that when the coffee comes out the spout is directed down into a cup or mug, when it is finishes the piston withdraws and directs the spout to the waste tray to catch any drip left in the spout. This is achieved by two 1.5mm plastic nibs on the primary spout, if they wear you can get the coffee going direct to the waste tray. It would seem something like this is happening with these nibs either they are not connecting properly or have worn down too much.

Our machine is making weak coffee. We tried a de scale and it hasn't fixed the problem and now it won't stop automatically. Is there a way to reset it back to factory settings?

It's a common problem for the plastic "distributor" to become loose or faulty, which causes much of the coffee to go into the drip tray instead of out of the spout. Check out this page for info on how to check and possibly fix this: http://www.productreview.com.au/qa/delonghi-nespresso-u/2.html

Also check the hole in the spout isn't blocked with clumps of coffee. Get a large paper clip and poke it in the hole. Turn the machine on without a pod so hot water comes out of the spout (watch you don't burn yourself!!). Poke the paper clip in and out of the spout hole to break up any clumps which may be blocking the hole. I was astonished at how much crap came out of mine when I first did this!

I got my machine for xmas 2015. Frother worked fine for awhile and now it's not frothing. It warms the milk and spins perfectly but that's it! I have tried full cream and hi lo milk. Any ideas?

I've had the same problem, it's the milk not the frother. At certain times of year milk doesn't froth aswell as other times. I've talked to a cafe owner, and he said it happens in the hot dry months. He puts it down to what the cows eat. Dry feed = low froth, lush green grass = high froth. It sounds crazy but I've only found it happens to me in a dry hot summer. Try a different brand or a high protein milk. That might help.

The Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother is awful. I had mine replaced by Nespresso 3 times before I gave up and bought a Breville milk frother. It's stainless steel so easy to clean, has adjustable temperature control (I like mine hot!), and can froth up to 3 cups of milk at one time. Best thing we ever bought.

Try different brands of semi-skimmed or full milk, and also don't use lactose free Milk. I hope this helps. You also need to make sure that the little springy thingy is clean.

I cannot get my milk frother to work. The red light won't come on when I press the button. I made two coffees and then it stopped working.

Hi. Ring nespresso and they can do trouble shooting via phone or if under warranty maybe replace/fix.

Sorry don't know the technical stuff as our dies and I replaced with an aldi frother for $27 vs $100 for nesproo. Works just as well.

Hi,

I've just bought a machine yesterday. Did one coffe last night, and this morning it didn't work.

It doesn't open the capsule, and it crushes the bottom.

No water is coming through....very annoying.

Does anyone has faced the same problem?

Thanks.

Michael
