Dulux Renovation Range Floors Paint Questions & Answers
VerifiedWe have painted our laundry door, the application was carried out to existing floor tiles as per instructions & video, the end result was excellent with no problems applying each of the coats (primer & 2# top coats). The finish is flawless, however, having left the paint to dry for some 5 days now as we start to use the laundry we have noticed how easily it is scratching & chipping!!!!! Is there a 'hard' sealer that can be applied to help against this......our dog also, but not yet, sleeps in the laundry so we are nervous as to whether he will scratch the floor! Kind rgds Campbell & Julie Fowler
Hi there Campbell and Julie Folwer, Dulux Renovation Range can take at least 7 days to cure fully, so even though it may be touch-dry, we do not recommend using any hard surfaces on it for at least a week during the cooler months. We suggest wearing socks only to prevent scratching until the paint has fully hardened. With winter, tiles especially can be cooler and take longer for the coating to dry and harden. To aid this process, we can provide some suggestions to help with this, so your floors can be scratch free! Please give us a call on 13 25 25 (option 2) and we'll help you get the prefect finish! We hope to hear from you soon and get you back on track! - Dulux Australia

Hi. Just put 2nd coat of floor tile paint (gloss)on. What sealant if any should I put on. Will this help to protect against scratching
Hi Danny, You're in luck! There is no sealer needed - Dulux Renovation Range is already formulated against scratches! The main thing to do to prevent this would be to ensure the surface is adequately cleaned, sanded and primed so that the topcoats can adhere properly. Adding a sealer may cause the coats to come off more easily, and also will not be slip-rated, which could potentially cause accidents in bathrooms! If you need any help with applying the Dulux Renovation Range Floor Paint, feel free to call us on 13 25 25 (option 2) and we would be more than happy to assist! Good luck and happy happy painting! - Lucy at Dulux
I have purchased the floor renovation paint and the primer from Bunnings. The gentleman at the desk has advised me the paint won’t stick to a cold ceramic tile, it will just peel up. How do I tell the temperature of the floor tile. On the tin it says not to apply to tile 10 degrees or under and 25 degrees or over. I am a pensioner and can’t afford to get this wrong. Please advise.
