The turbo head is spinning too fast amd not sucking. Do I need a complete new head or could the problem be something else?
Hi Gianze, Thank you for your query. If your turbine head is spinning too fast and not cleaning as it should, this generally indicates a blockage within the head. Please check your turbine head as indicated here and remove any foreign debris: external link
Once reassembled, your machine should continue working as normal, however if not please email askdyson@dyson.com.au and we will be more than happy to further assist.
Best wishes,

Hi! The brush in the head of my dc 23 stop spinning when it touches the carpet. While it still turn otherwise. I Cleaned it but it is like it isn't strong enough anymore to turn on the carpet.
Hi. I had a similar problem- had to take it to the service centre- everything with the Dyson is expensive and unreliable. If you can afford it get a Sauber or a Miele -both have bags but they are good and the Sauber comes with a 5 year warranty.
Hi Julie mine does the same on some carpets only, lucky its not the main carpet its more on carpet mats. The thing I dislike without the power heads its got no guts.

Hi There, This appears a common problem. The Rubber clutch belt that connects the spinning brush to the turbine fan gets old and perishes. It would be a relatively easy job to replace the belt however Dyson refuses to seel the belt and insists the only option is a new $129 turbine head!
Very frustrating. I for one wont throw good money after bad even though the Dyson has been great and will put the $129 towards a new Miele.
Hi, I have a problem with the wand. The joint closest to the ground end (extended it's approx 400mm from bottom) is stuck open. Just wondering if there is an easy solution?
Regards,
Clint.
