Ecovacs Deebot N8 Questions

Hi, I just purchased the N8 and have a small 2 bedroom unit. Carpets in the bedrooms. Main room has a large mat on the carpet on which my bed sits but the N8 didn’t want to map the extra carpet. It went around one leg of my bed and then moved off to the main carpet. Will it not do carpet on carpet mapping? Thanks.

Try to reset the map and remap again. Also ensure that whole room is empty while mapping. Than you can set it up the way you want.

My holiday home has three linoleum areas separated by a carpeted hallway, and a carpeted lounge and bedrooms. Can these bots be left unattended to do both functions or is an either/or config? Do they empty into a bin at the recharge station or is the capacity limited to whatever is onboard the bot?

Deebot will vacuum both carpet and linoleum in one go but needs to have a mop installed to mop lino, my debot does not have a bin but you can buy them with a bin, my battery lasts 45mins and does a lounge room bathroom small kitchen and two bedrooms and a small hallway, hope this helps, cheers

Any feedback on how the N8 handles pet hair, specifically golden retriever dog

I don't have a dog, but my sister had a robot vac and I saw it pick up golden retriever hair successfully and my son in law has a n8 and 2 dogs and a cat and no problems, hope this helps.

Please could you tell me the difference between the N8 and the T9? Thankyou

T9 apparently is a bit smarter than n8 and has 3d true detect and air freshener, our n8 mapped out our 2 bed unit and basically hasn't missed any where and does what it does good, also of course the T9 is more expensive,try looking on YouTube for comparisons, that's how I made the decision on the n8 good luck,

T9 has more battery power and can last longer during a single session. In my case, the N8 did not have sufficient power to clean my house in a single charge, where the T9 did. N8 would have to dock, charge and resume in 8 hrs which can be very inconvenient especially when you're back home and need some quiet.
