Wondered if I had a problem with faulty pods or machine not working properly. I like 2 pods for my coffee. Maybe 1 would work then the next would just flow into the pod disposal unit and not into cup. It depended on the pod piercing sound. If it was loud, it would work but if it didn't pierce loudly then I had the problem. I can't afford to buy pods and only a few in the packet work. Have cleaned and descaled machine. Help.

Robyn O. Gave up on her espressotoria machine. I wonder if we all test our poorly performing machines by using hotter (rather than cold from the tap or boiling from the kettle might melt the machine, but just warm to hot, like 40 or 50 degrees) and that might make a difference.

I have been using a slip on collar that I made from a used pod, to strengthen the sides of the pod, I haven't had a burst pod since using this slip on collar to strengthen the sides.

I am inviting everyone to join me and ask if there has been a change in the plastic or molding process for the coffee pods, because some of us are experiencing a problem where the coffee is not flowing out of the spout. I have so many burst or slightly split pods that allow some or all of the coffee to pour into the used pod bin.

The thickness of the pod may be inconsistent or even thicker on the base than it was.

I have reported the pod problem I am experiencing (and some others here have written about pod issues) Haley at Espressotoria customer support told me they are unaware or any problems with their pods and has offered to send a box of pods for testing . Just contact Haley with a postal address

CarolY in WA I have read your suspicion that the base of the pod is too thick, but I think that it is too thick in comparison to the sides. So I am strengthening the sides to make side strength and base strength more even.

The issue I am having is split pods. The coffee pours out into the used pods bin from the split on the side. I recently opened up the machine to clean a spiderweb out of the circuit board area. 14 screws total. I would have liked to modify the 12 puncture needles for the exit side (base) of the pod so they actually push through the pod earlier. I am wondering if there is too much pressure occurring too quickly and the 12 exit holes haven't punctured quickly enough. I wasn't able to open the silver cylinder spout section where those 12 needled are located.

How to remove the used capsule?

You open the lever & it should drop into the catchment. If not & it's stuck, you're using the wrong size capsule & you'll need to pry it out with a blunt knife.

The coffee capsule falls into the used capsule chamber instead of staying in its position to make the coffee, How do i overcome this to make a good cup of coffee

Are you using the correct pods? We tried different pods with the machine and unless you have the same branded ones they won't fit correctly and sit in the pod compartment and fall straight through.

I wonder if they are having a problem with coffee pods because they aren't opening the lever ALL the way and the clamp that holds the pod is a bit too closed.
