Curious if anyone has had experience with the Everdure Gen 2 Furnace as well as the Ziggy Elite?
Can you use the furnace with 3 solid plates?
There is a center plate available and the side ones are interchangeable, so you could purchase additional parts to make it work, but honestly, don't waste your money on this BBQ - for the price, there are far better performing options out there, with far better after sales support.
Hello Andrew, it is not advised as this will create excess heat in the base and may cause damage to the unit. A certain amount of airflow is required to maintain the integrity of the product.
Hi, I am thinking of purchasing an Everdure Furnace. Could anyone tell me if the burners are powerful enough to boil water in a saucepan? If I took it camping, can I use it to make cups of tea on it?

Hi guys I need to replace the hinges on the lid Very happy to pay for then Unfortunately I left it with the house when I traveled for three years Came back to my favourite bbq needing a fair bit of love Have completed everything except for the hinges on the lid and I also need two new wheels Very happy to pay I have had many bbqs in my life and this is by far the best

Does the Gen II Furnace address the common issue of the lids paint bubbling from the heat generated? My friend has one and brought this to my attention and upon googling reviews, found this is not an isolated incident. That has detracted me from purchasing one, although would love one for the way it looks and performs. But can't spend that type of money with fear of the lid bubbling outside of warranty.

Don’t bother contacting the company they have given up contacting me back nothing ever happened with my complaint. Going to lodge a complaint now with consumer affairs as product not up to standard nor have any contact been made to assist in helping have not used the bbq since I complained over two months ago.
Whats has changed for the gen2 version?
From what I can see, not much. The iron grills seem to be better supported (they aren’t stable in gen 1 and are prone to being dislodged whilst grilling) Looks like they’re still getting uneven heating and not searing well. Paint/finish on all of these is inferior- don’t hold up well after a years use. These Heston Everdure bbqs are pretty to look at for a few months and might be ok for a quick snag sizzle, but forget searing a steak properly or getting a crispy skin salmon. Strongly recommend looking at other brands.
I can't really shed light on the difference more than Dan has. Positioning the grills so they don't fall in is also a problem with mine so I guess it's a Gen 1. Internal non stick finish hasn't lasted six months.

You will be pleased to know that these new models have additional product improvements/enhancements including a matte hood finish, durable handles + hinges, revised and fitted tabs to help centralise the grill plates in the firebox.

I just realised there was a Gen2 - so you knew how bad all the issues were like paint bubbles, plates falling in etc were, and fixed them, but to all of those with a gen1 we are the suckers that have to put up with the bad design.
I have bought a chicken roasting rack for my FORCE (although the advert says it can be sued on the FRUNENCE too) there are no instructions! i have looked on the website and i can find the accessary on the US website but not the UK? but i still cannot find a single instruction e.g. what is the cine shaped item for, is if for two chickens or one? do you add liquid etc. Can anyone help?

Read the reviews of Heston everdure posted by serious grillers. Stay away from this brand if you want to seer a steak or cook a crispy skin salmon. They are prone to uneven heating. They don’t hold up well over time - the finish is of poor quality fades quickly. They are quite cute for a few months and cook sausage ok. But that’s it.
We’ve had an Everdure bbq for about three years and always put the cover on when not in use. Despite this the black surround of the bbq has white marks all over it and inside the lid is pitted with a greyish white flakey substance. How can we restore or clean this off? Thank you.

Does the Furnace 3 work off a gas bottle or mains gas?
Bottle only. I am no gas plumber but i dont think it is designed or manufactured to be run of mains pressure.

Good morning. I purchased a furnace bbq from harvey norman 2 months ago and I've been having issues with the hot plate shifting on the base. Is it a common issue or could it just be the bbq I have? It's like it's just balancing on 4 tiny points- any movement will drop the hot plate into the bbq.
Yes there are as you say 4 pin seats and correct they could have been designed a little better. I just twizzle mine it to a set position. During cooking i havent had mine fall into the base.

The marketing material claims that this is the most powerful bbq in the world. But, the BTU/area is the same as the Weber family Q, and both of these are much lower than most other bbqs available.
Does the performance of the furnace back up this claim or does it run cold if the hood is left up like the weber?

Bought the furnace 2 one week ago. The white decal paint is literally wiping off. Around the knobs and the warning info on the other side. What to do?
Hi Jo M Not sure did you use any type of spray to clean around them? Maybe the manufacturers may have an answer. Mine are still as good as the day i bought it.

It was cleaned with a warm cloth not even soap or any cleaning products. I'm literally able to.rub it off with my finger and a bit of moisture. Pressumably a replacement part will be manufactured with the same paint. And the same thing will happen.

Hello there The lid of my Furnace (orange) is damaged, the paint has bubbled and lost a lot of colour. I don’t think it is under warranty any more. Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement part?

Please advise how I can solve the problem of the plates moving around and falling onto the burners. When it happens while the plates are hot it's difficult to reposition them, there never seems to be a perfect position.
You can't. This was one of the issues. Maybe wedge something around edge that's not flamable... Or if it's still in warranty then call where you purchased from. They will send team out

Hi Everdure,
I'm considering buying a Furnace this month, but a lot of the complaints here have me worried now. Have any of these issues been addressed in production?
I'm especially worried about paint bubbling/peeling off, decals coming off, plates sliding off and falling into grill due to being too small, uneven heating.
