I have recently purchased a property in Tasmania that has the HPE 151 W heater in a self contained studio. I plan to use the studio as a B & B but I need a manual for the heater. Is it possible to forward me one so I can work out how to set temps., etc. Electronically would be fine.

To access the control panel, use a small Philips screwdriver to remove the plastic cover. The cover should be replaced after any action to protect the LCD display & stop children from accessing the controls. There are 12 preset & 1 user programmable programs built in. Note that when accessing a function, the LCD will flash. If no button is pushed within 5 seconds at any time, the heater will revert to its operating mode.

Has worked fine for 2-3 seasons- until, I think, it just went off form... I haven't been able to get it going since. I bought it about 3 years ago from Harvey Norman, Sunshine, but I can't find the manual or my receipt. However, since it has such a long warranty, I think I should qualify for readjustment or repairs. SO: Is there any way of getting a manual? [2] Could you give some advice? [3] Do I qualify for repairs/readjustment? Thank you. [xmax3@bigpond.com]

My daughter has the HPE 221W model and she accidentally lock it on temperature of 26c . I would like to know how to unlock it because sadly I have lost the instruction book? I am very happy with the heater but the control panel should be simpler.

what are differences between HPE221W and HPE222W?
Good morning,
The difference in these heaters is as follows. HPE221W has a seven day program where as HPE222W does not.
Thank you for your enquiry.
How do you turn the LED display down or off to make less bright?
There is no way that it can be done in the system.
i just put a small wooden block on top of the led. To reduce its light
How much does it cost to run?
It is a 2200 watt heater so uses 2200 watts per hour on full. No guesswork there, so the only issue is how long does it need to be on full and how good does the thermostat stop the heater from running at full all the time? We found in our house it heated the room size as per the manual reasonably quickly, say an hour to 2 hours to be comfortable, not sweaty hot though. Just comfortable with a jumper on. After that the thermostat was quite good at topping up the heat economically. We usually ran it for 3 hours in the morning to take the chill off at about 3+kwh electricity. Then we'd all go to work and turn it off. On weekends if run all day it used under 5kwh. Now, I hope that helps as a guide because it varies wildly depending on your outside temp, and your insulation. Our house is an insulation fortress. Walls, ceiling, floor, windows. And it pays back $2 for every $1 we spent doing it.
LASTLY, our Everdure, like several others, died with a faulty switch. My wife walked into Harvey Norman Balgowlah and without a word the salesman just saw the Everdure and swapped it straight over to another replacement model (not Everdure). Great service, but sad that the model had such a poor and easily avoidable fault. Cheers
I'm trying to set the economy setting to 21 or 22 degrees & it won't let go down in temperature at all... The economy temp is currently set to 20 degrees... It does the same for the high temp too?
My panel in economy mode (CE) won't let me go below about 22c on high and cannot go above 19c on the lower level. Yes that is annoying. It is the temps in between those two settings that I want! The same issue with high power mode. We have just ignored it now. If it is cold we use high power mode. If it is not so cold we use economy. It hasn't turned out to be that big an issue for us. It does show how poor the logic is in the control panel, which I mentioned in my review. Nearly every other heater we have ever had has a simple dial to turn the thermostat up or down. That would have been better. It still does the job for us despite this. I wouldn't pay another couple of hundred dollars for a unit that has better controls, but if the price difference were a lot less I would consider it. We are still very happy with it overall but I could understand if others were not. Hope this helps.
