Fridge door handle is loose how do you tighten it, there is a tiny hole but that does nothing. The handle looks like it comes out of the steel plate attached to the door, you can see a screw but cant see where to get to it
I don’t know if it’s a ‘cost saving’ design which is faulty or my particular fridge? Would appreciate others letting me know the measurements of their moveable glass shelves please (F&P rf522). The width from between inner shelving white plastic slots measures 700mm, my glass shelving measures 703mm (outer measurement is 720mm). Effectively, the moveable glass shelves (not shelf above fruit/vege container) are being held in place (particularly at the back) by the tiny clear hard plastic breakable corners, rather than the shelves resting securely along the shelf runner guide. Discovered this when I went to clean the ‘spill proof’ glass shelf and realised the end clear plastic corner holder was broken on a shelf. As the fridge is new it’s possible was delivered in this state, but regardless the clear plastic corners appear to be the type of plastic which will likely become brittle with age. I’d like to clarify if this is just my fridge or a design fault. Thanks for any responses.
What setting are people keeping their fridge set to, we just got this fridge (1 week) and it seems not to be holding coolness within the safe temperature, it is cold if i have it on coldest setting but then it begins to freeze items and still not as cold as the old 18 year old F&P? Had F&P tech come and check it today and he said to set it to middle temp setting which he said is designed for all year around, now temps in fridge are at 5-7 deg, one small water bottle on top shelf records at 4.4 everything else is recording at 5-7 and above and water and drinks are not chilled to that crisp ice cold level that the old fridge managed to achieve. Any advice would be appreciated!
Get Fisher and Paykel to have it checked. My fridge was not cold enough and it was replaced after 4 weeks.
F&P are not doing anything about our fridge (8 weeks now) they claim there is nothing wrong with it even though we have fluctuating temperatures within fridge, from very cold then dropping to warm of its own accord, things freezing then defrosting, we have had condensation and water drops forming on back panel of fridge! Last technician sticky taped a small piece of foam behind inside back panel of fridge said sometimes these things are forgotten during manufacturing!? Our fridge is a lemon F&P technicians are not qualified to find the fault! We are in process of putting in a claim with consumer affairs, F&P have not resolved our issue nor do they seem to care nor have responded to our numerous requests to speak to senior management! We have thrown out so much food that has spoiled due to this issue! They told us to lodge a food loss claim 3 weeks ago, yes you guessed it no response to that either!
French Door Spring replacement.We have purchased a new spring twice for this model fridge and they don’t fit. We can’t make the spring work.We are sick of wasting money on parts that don’t work.My husband is ready to take the fridge to the tip! Can we please, please have the right model spring number and instructions on how to fit it. Desperate.
As soon as the door is opened the beeping begins and lasts for 17 beeps which,I am told, means that the freezer fan is not working correctly. But it does appear to be OK. Also, little beeps, like chirps, come from the fridge all the time. Why is this ? I cannot locate any controls on the interior of the fridge part, only on the exterior. I have just got this fridge yesterday, its a good looking fridge, fit perfectly to my kitchen. My concern is the gliding noises when every time pulling out the freezer door. Has anyone had same problem?
Ours sounds the same. It's probably the roller bearings. The freezer specification says 159 litres. That's a lot of possible weight. So they probably had to use heavy roller bearings to carry the weight and survive being open and shut so many time in its lifetime. Maybe they made it loud so you know when someone is after the icecream also, lol.

Ours is having the same issue. Had the service guy out the day after we bought it. He has ordered new set of rails in the hope it will fix the problem. My issue is none of the display models we looked at (in multiple stores) had this issue, they were all quiet.
The display in harvey Norman where we bought from was quiet too. Never expected that loud grinding noises coming from freezer door. A video has been sent to Fisher Paykel in regards to the noises and also some pictures in relation to other little issues. I will keep you posted once heard back from FP
Put silicone grease on ball races and corresponding channels. quietens the noise and prevents ice buildup on the metal runners.
Fisher paykel’s service is absolutely awesome, from what I experienced I will say their staff and services are ten out of ten. Very professional and prompt responses. The staff all very helpful, very happy with their services even though had some little issues with my fridge
Following up my fridges. After two change overs, we have our third fridge in the past two months(yes, the third fridge). The first fridge was just the drawer noises when pulling out the freezer drawer, and other little issues which were bearable, but F&P arranged change over very quick. The second fridge turned up was not a brand new, scratch throughout inside and outside the fridge. We sent the videos and pictures then the customer care organised the third fridge delivered to our door. It’s actually the nosiest fridges among this threes. Since it’s delivery the technician had been visited twice but did not solve the compressor noises which driving us insane. numerous emails have been sent to the service care asking for another change over or refund from begging of May, NO response at all since then. Very disappointing, we wight ask for the help from ACCC next week if no answer from Fisher & paykel
Where is the egg holder???

French door left hand side with spring. Spring detached or faulty and left door seal needs to be closely guided in to track each time door is closed. Has anyone had the spring replaced. Is it easy to fix yourself?. Can you download a parts list with repair guidelines?
I am having the same problem. Paid Fisher and Paykel $30 for a new spring and still same problem too??
Spring is relatively easy to fit. Parts list readily supplied from FP website and use that part no for a supplier to provide. Spring comes with installation guide too. I paid about $28 for spring. Took about 4 mins to install. Wife very happy now!!!

I had the same problem after replacing the flapper spring on my Fisher & Paykel refrigerator. Finally figured out that the key is how the spring is installed. Both the video & instructions tell you to pull out on the body of the spring while inserting the top leg into the flapper assembly. After a couple of failed attempts, I used the eraser end of a pencil inserted up into the body of the spring to pull it toward me. Then I used needle nose pliers to grasp and insert the top leg of the spring into the flapper assembly.
The flapper is now working properly.
Why isn't it making any sound and the fridge is heating up?
It just runs really quite almost silent, yes It's heating up and functioning as it should.
It isn't completely silent. When I was buying the fridge, I had read reviews that it was a really noisy fridge and I have it in an open planned kitchen. I really liked the design and decided I would take the risk. The hum it makes isn't what I would refer to as noisy and has never bothered us at all.
The door open alarm is on everytime any door or the draw is opened where is the sensor or how can i fix this issue?
there is a button inside the upper right hand side of the fridge that turns the alarm off, however if you open the door and the alarm sounds straightaway then you may have an issue with the fridge, refer to your user manual or Fischer and Paykel

We have just had the fridge delivered however the freezer drawer seems very difficult to open and close and makes a loud metal grating sound like it is off it's bearings, but can't see any actual problem.
Also the left door has an exposed spring on the movable flap that make a lot of noise and looks ready to pop off.
I am wondering if these are abnormalities?

No problems with drawer on ours...slides well....think u have a problem there. I have had the spring replaced...and yes it does protrude. I have today just had the second door hinge hook replaced. They tell me new ones are different type of plastic and dont break.
Just hope that is all that is going to happen. Have had all rubbers replaced as well.

Yes we went through service centre...not a long weight but give you hours like between 9 and 12 or 1 and 4...OK with us because we are home but could see it a problem if you worked.

Not my problem but should be checked if in warranty..then again it should last being an expensive fridge. My niece had that problem and fridge was changed over ..no questions asked but that was a while ago.
I have left a message for the local repair guy. I also ranf good guys as thats where i purchased it they suggested turning it off then back on. Its working again but i will get it checked as the motor and wall behind fridge was super hot. The fridge is now sitting in the middle of the room
I have the option to buy the superseded ***ADX4 at a discounted price over the ***ADX5. Could you please describe the differences between the two models? Water dispenser not necessary, if that makes any difference. Thanks. David

Partly pull out the freezer draw and you will find it at the bottom right corner of the unit. Stupid place to hide it. I had the same problem. Good Luck.

Good morning...We have had our refrigerator for approx 5 weeks... The noise of it is driving us crazy..It was quiet when it was first installed..but not now!! When it is running which seems to be all of the time it is making a horrible vibrating/rattling noise which appears to be coming from the rear of the fridge. You have to turn the volume of the television up to try and drown out the noise .Before I contact for service can you give me any hints. What is the problem? Thanks.. Cheryl
I have also had the refrigerator for about the same time. It runs very quiet, with none of the complaints you have with yours. As far as vibrating is concern, it's very important that the refrigerator is level as instructed and that all feet is adjusted correctly and in proper contact with the floor.
The only thing I have to complain about is the design of the freezer drawer which is hard to open and close. It is also making a slightly grinding noise. All the advice I have been given indicates that this is normal. To me, it indicates poor design and should be rectified.
I would definitely take your problem up with F&P as it is definitely not normal. GOD LUCK.

That was the first thing we did was to check the level & according to the spirit level all good..spoke with the serviceman today & he feels it may be the compressor has come adrift during transportation which apparently sometimes happens..I have booked a service call for Friday 13th..might be lucky..gotta go now..fridge sooo loud can't concentrate..Cheers!!
