Freshield Questions & Answers
VerifiedIam looking for some foam seals for top and bottom of my vacuum sealer trying ring and emailing freshield no luck
Freshield may not be back from their Xmas break yet. Some suppliers don't go back to work again until mid January. If you have sent them a message they will get back to you but, obviously, they will respond in order of receiving emails. Pretty sure that any retailer that sells the vaccuum sealer will still need to special order it from Freshield, so the path of emailing them is probably still the fastest way.
I am also looking for top and bottom foam seals, frustrating when the machine sucks the air out but won’t seal.
Appeiciate if you are can inform me who the local supplier or agent for the Freshield vacuum packer in Singapore. Thank You.

Hi Ann. Freshield have their own repair centres. All you will need to do is to return it to them by post and they will assess and repair it for you, either under warranty or by invoice if not covered. You can find them on Facebook or their web page.

I would like to know where I can have my freshield food sealer service. Please.
I would a answer if anybody can help me please.
Carmen.
We have a freshshield elite 11, I took the filter off the back as the bags would not seal,(the seals were not forming a perfect seal ). I plugged the two holes with blue tack & lo and behold it works fine, or it did. Problem now is that the heat sealing line is burning thru the plastic bags, it is getting over hot & melting the plastic bag, thanks, Brian.
There are a couple of reasons why the seals are not forming correctly. One will be that the food inside the bag is wet food, not patted dry or dry food. If you are sealing a steak, chicken, mince, fish or other food that has large percentages of moisture, it is better to freeze them first, or in the case of steak and chicken pat them dry with a paper towel. This prevents moisture from getting between the bag's surfaces where the heat seal is to seal. Any foreign products between the surfaces will prevent the seal from adhering properly. The other could be the use of non-propriety bags which may not be suitable for the machine. Also, don't modify the unit as it will void warranty, so it would be best to put the filter back on, and remove the blu tack as well.
Thank you, I know why the bags don't seal, I have fixed that, but why does the machine burn holes in the plastic bags when trying to seal ?, I've bought a cheapie from Kogan that does the job. Brian.

Can the vacuum sealer be fixed. Mine does not seal any more
I bought this unit a few years ago but have never used it until yesterday and the heating strip does hot heat. do you have any suggestions
I would suggest you to email to Freshield first and they will reply you very quick. :)
My fresh shield unit will not seal, the seal does not heat up. I put it in a cupboard for 2 yearly...used only 4 times. What is the problem?
I am not sure why the seal does not heat up. My suggestion is first to ring the customer service if they can run thru a few simple checks over the phone. If it still doesn't work, it may need to be returned for servicing. My unit hasn't failed since they fixed it.
