Heatstrip Classic Range Questions & Answers
VerifiedOur black heatstrip is losing its colouration. When you wipe to clean it the black surface comes off even more. Can you spray it with heat resistant black paint?
I’ve never wiped ours so haven’t had that problem- we use the blower. I’d check with the manufacturer for their recommendation. I reckon a very high temp paint would work
How do you control the THH-A series heaters, do you get a remote control, or do you need to use an app on a smartphone?
I am having trouble pairing the app. When I hold the + button it does not change to the blinking cc.
Would love assistance.
I am having the same issue trying to get it into pairing mode. Did you find a solution?
I contacted the company and they replaced the unit

Hi, I have an open courtyard of about 3x3 (no roof). I would like to install an heatstrip 2400W classic on weatherboard wall. Will this be OK on the wall to warm the area? any issues with heatstrip on weatherboard ? Thanks
I would like to heat a covered Pergola (triangular roof) area of 8m x 5m area. Would 2 THH3200A be more than enough to cover almost the whole area ? Also the pros and cons of installation directly above (my case will need long pole for height) vs on side of pergola ? Thank you.
They will work great I have a 3m x 3m hot tub awning in the snowy mountains and it works great
Hi Mel, thankyou for your message to thermofilm Australia, if your application is a enclosed location this unit will cover a total of 6.4m2. these units are a gentle radiant heater suitable in application enclosed or in spot heating, so place 1 to 2 units directly above a seating area to cover that area.
for a large application like your i would suggest a element glow design unit like the MAXDCR or INTENSE range these units can double the coverage of the CLASSIC model.
is it possible you could email me some images of your application and i can go into more detail of how to place the units and what unit will suite you application. b.paris@thermofilm.com.au
I have an outdoor area 3.5 x 3.5 3 sides closed one open, height 2.2 and seeking a heater which will go above a table which will be used for seating food etc. will the Heatstrip classic be ok martinsmithhwcc@gmal.com
Hi Purchased a 3200 heat strip with remote and then also wanted the hard wire switch - am I able to connect the switch also ?
Hi We have purchased a 3200 with remote and have hardwired to a “single gang” and have been advised that we cannot have the matching heatstrip controller switch ? Is this correct ?
Hi, correct the THE3200R is not compatible with the TT-MTM Hardwired wall controller. If you require further information, please contact sales@thermofilm.com.au
Hi i am looking in replacing my mushroom heater with wall mounted heaters. I have an alfresco area of 10mx3.5m with colour bond roof and Cafe blinds of 8m long.
Can you assist which product is most suitable to install and at which side. The Cafe blind side or brick wall side?
Thank you in advance
Demetris
Hi Demetris, Thank you for your comment. Could you please email an image of plans of the area to sales@thermofilm.com.au
We have a 4m x 10m covered deck that adjoins the house and has one side enclosed and another partially closed. The rest is open with no blinds etc. Would 2 x 3200W heaters heat this, even though it is open on one side.
I have a similar arrangement and yes it will do the job.
Thanks Geoff P.That's a great help!
how does this product compare to Rinnai 3200 w strip heater
Sorry I can not assist in the comparison. I can however recommend the Heatstrip and the warranty provided
We live in the mountains in the snowy it works perfectly we use it when we are in our hot tub I would recommend it highly
Hi. We are looking at replacing some very old gas radiant heaters in our church. Would something like the Heatstrip panels be okay for indoor use?
Hi, not sure about using these indoors. I don't see why they wouldn't work. Probably best to give the company a call on 03 95623455. They are very helpful.
Hello I have purchased 2 of your units to put on our patio which measures 6 x 6.5 meters would this be sufficient enough to heat this area
It depends on the air flow through the space. I think their products are awesome but each has a relevant application. They have guidelines on their website so you can match whether you have walls, airflow etc.
Hi there , I’m looking to purchase either the THE1800 or the THE2400 for bathroom / shower use. (White colour) My question is, what temperatures do they reach and how quick do they reach those temps. I want to heat up my bathroom that is roughly : 2.5m x 2.5m and 2.6m high. How long roughly will they take to heat up a bathroom this size. Do they have a thermometer built In or do you have to turn them off manually when it’s hot enough? Thank you in advance.
hello I am looking at one of your heaters (EOHA22GR), for a glass-enclosed section of my verandah. The area is approximately 18m sq. Do you think that this heater will be sufficient to warm up this area? Thank you Antoinette
Hi Ann,
Thank you for your enquiry,
Our customer service team will happily assist you with choosing the most appropriate heater for your application. Would it be possible if you could send images or plans to sales@thermofilm.com.au
Best regards,
I have purchased and hardwired 2 x THH3200A Heaters a 1 x Controller. My Electrician can not wire both to 1 controller due to the 24.5 amps drawing. Do you have an updated larger controller as do not want 2 controllers on the wall
Hi Brett, Thank you for your enquiry, It is possible to use one wall controller to control multiple heaters. The wall controller is rated at 16 Amps and 240 volts. For larger current draw, talk to your electrician who can use a relay or connector to connect more units.
The TT-MTM hardwired controller modulates the heat output using a "timed on / timed off function. the Controller does not modulate the voltage output. A relay is therefore suitable for this application.

We want to insulate our alfresco roof and have been thinking of getting Heatstrip Elegance, however our builder has said it would not suit the insulated ceiling panels (it would get too hot and damage them according to him). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Any ideas?
HI Elle,
Thank you for your enquiry,
